Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United StatesThe only thing we didn’t like is that the beds were so small. When I booked it, I thought the rooms had queen beds. So, sleeping was a little uncomfortable. Other than that I don’t have any other complaints. We enjoyed our stay.

United StatesI feel like the price is too high. I feel like they are price gauging because there is an event going on in the city (NASCAR race). I can understand a slight increase. the facility isn't worth $329 per night. I'm sure it is not just this hotel, they all do it. it is ridiculous.

United StatesThe room smelled musty and everything felt damp. We've only every experienced this in an oceanside hotel?? It was very weird.
The location was close to Children's Mercy Park, and I liked that we had a fridge, microwave, etc. The room was spacious. Staff was very friendly. We didn't partake in a lot of the amenities since we were only there one night, but we noticed there was free laundry and a nice gym.

United StatesI am writing to express my outrage and deep disappointment regarding a recent stay at your Candlewood Suites Kansas City location at 10920 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS, on the night of Saturday, June 21, 2025. I booked this stay through Booking.com (confirmation 5214909287), and I have copied their customer service on this message as well so they are aware of the unacceptable conditions and my experience. I stayed in Room 333 and paid $326.79 for one night—an absolutely staggering price considering what I received in return. For context, I am an IHG member (Member #: 355915011) and a frequent traveler. Aside from a few Autograph Collection properties and the Trump Hotel in Chicago, this is the most I’ve ever paid for a one-night stay—and by far the worst value and experience I’ve ever had. The issues began immediately upon check-in. The Manager on Duty was shouting instructions from around a corner to the front desk clerk, making no attempt to address me personally. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. It was obvious she was watching a screen or on her phone and had no time or respect for either me, the paying guest, or her own employee. Once in the room, things only got worse: The carpet was dirty and heavily worn. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being labeled as non-smoking. A nasty, sticky residue was on the nightstand, which had clearly not been cleaned. At 4:00 AM, the fire alarm went off because a staff member burned something in a toaster oven. The overall condition of the room and property was disgusting, neglected, and wholly unacceptable. I stayed there only because I had to pick up my son from the airport at 12:45 AM and was too exhausted to safely drive an hour home. I expected at least a clean and quiet place to rest. Instead, I regret every dollar I spent. I’ve stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for less money—and the contrast couldn’t be more extreme.
