Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff person in the breakfast area humming and looking at her phone.
It was decent. The waffle mix was bland. Needed some vanilla in it to make it taste better.

Could have been cleaner in the bathrooms. Bathroom fans didn't work and entrance light was not working.
Location near XL, bus and train station,, the beds were comfortable View was gorgeous and the park was right there.

This is the correct listing and spelling of the location
The breakfast is A1 and the view of the Capitol is beautiful from the 8th floor where I stayed it's also in 15-30min or less walking distance to many restaurants and attractions

If the glass counter in the bathroom can be removed or changed it, it would be perfect. I am 165 cm, and I bend my back to wash my face or gargle, I had to remember there is a glass counter over my head and I should be careful to not bang my head. It's not really friendly to taller people to use the sink.
I like the location and the staffers.

Breakfast options were very limited.

The little underground garage was extremely tight. There was only one way in and out and if someone was leaving and someone was entering it could easily be an accident. There is a parking lot right on the premises but it belongs to the city so the hotel really needs to make a deal with the city so people can park right in the lot instead of navigating that weird little garage.
It was right downtown in the middle of everything.

Not much sense of security or coverage in the front of the house. Parking was horrendous! Property seemed old and unattended.

Breakfast was very limited, lifts moved slowly, only one was working when I stayed and it stank of people's breakfasts in the morning.
Great location by the Amtrak station as I arrived late in the evening. A short walk to Downtown or the Capitol Building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good sized room was probably the best value for money I found in New England.

Only one elevator worked, which caused long waits for an elevator, especially at breakfast time. Also, the door locks on the rooms didn't work well. I had to have the desk person come open the door. Then, both of our keys quit working and the desk had to fix that, The room was a little noisy being right by the elevator.
The breakfast was really good. The beds were comfortable. The location was extremely convenient for our trip.

The location was not as rough as 2 block down but we could see it from there. My only real issue is the homeless/transient folk who are allowed to hang out in the lobby and interact (beg/solicit) with guests. The parking lot should be better attended.
The value for the room was out of this world. The continental breakfast was varied and well made. The room was clean, cool and we had a great view of the capital. Make parking cheaper than the lot if you want peoples to park there. The location was centralized with sites and eateries a plenty.
