The grounds around some of the annex buildings had construction materials and / or storage materials left out in an untidy manner, which made an aspect of the grounds seem messy.

Location and Renovated Historic Facilities. The common lounges, bar and restaurant.

Shower was dimly lit. The weather was exceptionally warm, a ceiling fan would have been nice. The walls were thin. Earplugs should be recommended.

Very relaxing and scenic. We had a great dinner in the restaurant. The coffee bar was also very good.

The food in the restaurant was fantastic as were the drinks. However, some of the staff were not the friendliest, and there was a lot of confusion about who can eat at the restaurant and who could not that kind of ruined the vibe of having dinner there on location.

From the moment that you pull up to this location and enter through the very beautiful unique entrance, you know that the stay is going to be special. The grounds around the hotel are spectacular as well as the amenities. Being able to sit by a fire pit and watch the sun go down over the water was an incredible moment to have as was being able to get coffee and sit in the sauna the next day.

Initially I didn't like the idea of a shared bathroom, but we were there in late May and it was not busy, so the bathroom was great.

An incredibly well kept establishment which has maintained its beautiful charm. We were booked for one night but had to stay another. Sitting right on the water, the view is breathtaking. It's a quiet peaceful oasis. Highly recommend for those looking to get away from the routine of a busy life.

    Magical Summer Camp Style stay

It was all great. I guess the only thing was our room was right above the restaurant and you can hear people talking as if you were sitting right next to them. But it closes early so it wasn't a problem when we were trying to sleep or anything. Oh, if there were a hot tub it would be perfect!

This place is so lovely. Someone said it was like adult summer camp and it totally was! We stayed in the main building in a regular room so shared bathrooms. This didn't bother us at all as the bathrooms were gorgeous and very clean. We were in room 5 which had a lovely view of the water as well. We used the sauna and did some yoga in their relaxation room. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was incredible! Really, a great stay, we want to come back with friends.

The place is beautiful, the location is by the water and the facilities are very good. Above all, Sunya the lady in the reception was very kind and helpful and when she saw that we are not happy with location of our room ( that lacked privacy and quiet, important for our vacation),found us the best cabin ,quiet, tastfully designed, very spacious and on the water. We really appreciate it very much. It made our vacation great!! Thank you Sunya ! The restaurant staff were all kind and helpful ,the atmosphere cosy and inviting and the food tasty. We will definitly return.

The food at the restaurant wasn’t super great, but it also wasn’t bad! My partner is vegetarian, so he had limited options to choose from.

The overall feel of the property is amazing! It’s tucked in the “suburbs” but truly doesn’t feel like it. It feels like you’re on the coast with so much land to romp and play. I stayed in one of the lagoon rooms and it felt like a dream. Big picture window with a view of the lagoon, rocking chairs out front to sip coffee and cozy up with a book, a sound machine to amplify the environment, and truly didn’t hear anyone else in the building. Staff were super friendly and the property can also accommodate pets!

The property is absolutely beautiful. And, the staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. I know it's a slower season, but would have loved if the bar were open later, especially on the weekends. It's such a nice bar! And, the corner store/coffee shop could have a few more travel needs and things. Overall, I can't wait to come back and experience the property more. It's really fantastic.

The room (in the lodge building) needed better lighting.

This is an amazing historical hotel in the most charming location. The restaurant is excellent and the setting is unforgettable. Parts of the hotel, especially in the lodge, are rustic, so it's only a good choice for travelers who experience an amazing locale and historic environment over all modern comforts. The staff is personable and goes the extra mile for guests.

Not much choice on menu and eating times were very limited due to a private party. Much upkeep needed on exteriors signs. Price very high.

The room was excellent. The view was nice and style of room was great.

    Nothing.

Gorgeous old (1907) lodge. Lovely stone fireplace in the “lobby” with cosy, comfortable chairs to relax in while enjoying the warmth of the fire. Rooms are very lovely with sea (Penn Cove) or garden views. Very good restaurant open for dinner only. Service and food were both excellent.
