Nice and clean, plenty of parking and a 5 minute walk to the beach. All staff were friendly and helpful. There were chairs and umbrellas left behind for people to use, which saved us time & money, really helpful! The beds were super comfy, best nights sleep!

The property was very clean and the staff is super attentive but the best of all is that literally you are a few walks from the beach.. I’m from Miami and I will Travel again for 3 hours just for this beach.

I really liked the room we had. It was huge, we had a king bed in the bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. There weren’t a lot of utensils in the kitchen, but just enough to get by for a few days. The big screen TVs in the bedroom and living room are awesome. Everything was clean. Some of the facilities are a little dated, but it’s charming. It’s old Florida style. I really liked it. The pool was great, they even brought out umbrellas for people to sit under. Walking distance to the beach. Just a two minute walk! When you get to the beach, there are roped off areas that you cannot sit in, but if you walk, just a little way to the right or left, you can find a spot on the beach. We didn’t spend a lot of time sitting on the beach, we were snorkeling almost almost the whole time. My 10-year-old son and I got to see and swim with a manatee!! Great spot for kids it’s quiet compared to the downtown area of siesta key. The transportation is very easy, just call the frog hop and they will take you wherever you want. Make sure to tip them well! We went downtown once, but it was so busy and loud that we just ended up staying Where we were at. There was a pizza place and a place called Captain Kurts. Both of those were great restaurants, and we also cooked meals (we bought groceries at Trader Joe’s that was just a few miles away) in our little studio. It was perfect.

The microwave wasn’t working correctly because the door was loose, which made it kind of a hassle to use. Not a huge issue, but something worth fixing for future guests.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, which was super convenient with kids. The room was spotless, very clean, and well-organized. The staff was friendly both at the front desk and on the beach — the guy helping out down there was especially helpful. We used the grill, and even though it was a little dirty, it worked fine for us. Parking was also super convenient, right outside our room.

I did not like that on the private beach that they had parts of it sectioned off for rental chairs only. Seeing as we are from FL we knew to bring our own but had to walk farther to set them up.

The resort was in perfect walking distance to the beach & captains courts village which was amazing !! I did not like how certain sections of their private beach were only for chair rentals but we still found a space easily. The staff was great & the rooms/property were very clean.

had this weird rule about where you could sit on the beach once you got down to the beach between 9 AM and 4 PM so that there was just this very small area that you could sit if you weren’t willing to purchase the chairs and umbrellas from the resort. that part was weird to me.

The only thing that I did not like was that I had to leave to return to my reality. I also did not like that I had to return to the cold temperatures.

The proximity to the beach is perfect. Private beach is amazing. Short walk to the Gulf water. Amenities are abundant. Fun for all. The room is perfect for Solo travel.

Bathroom sink in room 12 felt a little bit small but stylish. One thing though about the beds: I would suggest to change them to platform frames and remove the cheap feeling under-bed drawers, making underbed storage for luggage much more convenient. As a designer, I wish the name "Captiva" on the outside wall glowed a different color like pink or teal.... the white is nice though and stands out...a color would be a great wow-factor update. In our bathroom (room 12) there was a slight sewer scent as you showered. It only happened when showering. The door to our room didn't stay shut and we had to type in the lock code to keep it closed. Would like to have heard exterior themed music in the background - something beachy or islandy. On the exterior courtyard, the only thing I'd update would be a more dressed up area for the wakeboards and beach things instead of just set in the corner. It wasn't trashy but could be stepped up just a little. Otherwise, very good spot for those things. I wished there was a bike check out at the resort. There was an led remote but didn't see what it went to. Could have just been a dead battery. The refrigerator was a nice side but the door was inconvenient as it opened the incorrect way for where it sits in the kitchen area. That can be changed easily by simply swapping the hinge mechanism to the other side. Simple 15 minute fix.

Beach: Clean, convenient and looking good considering the hurricane damage it sustained. Room: everything was great....we all felt that the modern updating was in line with the retro vibe the resort has. Comfort of the beds was amazing!!! Loved the entrance doors but the painted little windows felt a little cheaply done (maybe try a dark tint instead?) Location: perfect. Amenities: outside seating was great. Cabana was quite lovely. Spacious outside area and was quite clean and vintage-modern feeling. Very tasteful. Very Instagram worthy! Nice to have a wide range of things to use on the beach. Nice touch! Love the uplighting in the courtyard. Love the cleaning staff...they were very nice and welcoming. Loved that the interior design wasn't overly beach-cheap feeling. Tasteful decor and not cheesy. Nice flatscreen tv. Lots of charger ports/outlets
