The TV didn't work in one of the rooms. The beds weren't very comfortable.

No nightstands near the beds (two double beds in the room took up most of the space, and we did want two beds...) and no convenient place to plug in phones to charge. Could use a light over by the shower.

Easy and quick check in. We had a cabin which was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very clean. Bathroom was a little cramped but clean and everything worked well. Heat worked well but no heat in bathroom so we had to leave the door open for it to warm up. Because there were two beds in the cabin, space was a little cramped. One side of each double bed was up against the wall and no nightstands to put stuff on. I had to plug my phone into an outlet down by the floor and rest it on my suitcase. Also only one easy chair, but that's common in a lot of hotels. Good Wi-Fi and cable television. We were very comfortable for the one night. If it was summer, there was a nice screened in porch on the front of the cabin which had a table and chairs. There was also a picnic table available outside. I would come back in the summertime and stay for a few days. There is a swimming pool but of course it was too cold this time of year. Facilities looked well cared for. Person at check-in, who I assume is the owner, was very pleasant and helpful.

The amenities were very dated and in need of modernisation. The room needed a deep clean - there was heavy dust, specifically down the side of the bed and cobwebs in the bathroom. The shower was too small and lacked pressure. The bathroom door was damaged. The TV remote was dirty.

The initial room we booked for had a really strong musty, wet carpet smell which would have been unbearable for our 3 night stay as a family of 4. When we asked for another room the man at the front desk did not believe me and said it was due to the area receiving non stop rain the past couple of days and said no other rooms were available. When we pressed to change rooms due to the length of our stay, the man said there was another room available but that we would have a pay an additional USD $130+ in total which was a bit unfair as it wasn't our fault that the room we booked was unclean and no other similar priced/sized rooms were available on the property. Since we were already charged for our stay before our arrival, we reluctantly had to accept the additional charges as we were unsure if we would be refunded properly or could find vacancies in other properties in the area.

The room that we were moved to was a decent size, had all the amenities, and was relatively clean. Our kids loved the pool, playground and facilities. Overall, we had a comfortable stay but would try other similar motel/cottages in the area instead of this establishment in the future.

Our number one complaint (and unfortunately what will keep us from coming back) is the smell. We were overwhelmed by a chemical like smell in our room. After doing some looking around, we realized it was moth balls that had been dumped all through our room. We removed what we could, but there was like 100 of them in behind the sink area that we couldn't get out. I could tolerate it, my husband could not. If it wasn't for that, we'd be back all the time. Maybe something can be done. I can understand them being outside and under the porch. But not inside. Also, the first night we were there, the owner was in our room for over an hour at around 9pm, because he had to call the satellite company because our TV wouldn't work. I appreciated that he was willing to help, it was just super inconvenient. He blamed the prior customers for unplugging the receiver, but come to find out, it was a loose/faulty outlet.

The location is perfect for us, and the price can't be beat. Our little cottage was cute, clean enough, and had good hot water. I liked the screened in porch, and picnic table and fire pit outside. The owners are super nice, and accommodating. They have firewood for sale right there for an evening fire.

My bed's box spring came off it's frame when I first sat on it and the mattress was quite firm. The shower was tiny, but clean and functioned well.

They can use more attention to detail when cleaning the unit. I felt I had to wipe down things down. Ceiling fixture missing two bulbs. The bathroom lighting fixture was a two bulb unit, and one bulb was out. The other blew while I was there for two days. The pillows were hard. The little fridge had someones old, frozen pancakes in the freezer section and a 12 pack of Miller Lite in the lower drawer. I would have taken the beer with me, but it was Miller Lite.

For the condition of the facility, I thought the room rate was high. I guess autumn in the White Mountains commands a higher price, and the location did serve our purpose.

Good location to stay overnight while hiking. There are a couple of convenience stores and places to eat close by, and the staff was very polite and friendly. The room was clean, but a little run down, especially the bathroom shower. Microwave and fridge in good working order. No instructions for TV. Beds comfortable, pillows not at all so. Many excess wall decorations, but they did not get in the way, just gave the appearance of clutter. Functional is the bottom line.
