Check-in seemed a little scattered. It seems like there may have been a shift change going on, because initially we were dealing with one individual who asked for our ID, and then asked us to wait a while because our room wasn't ready yet, and when we checked back on the room about 30 minutes later, we had to start over with another person. Like I said, not a big deal. We had arrived early, and I do think they were doing their best to get us in before the normal check-in time.

Hardman House is in the heart of Carson City. It was definitely a good location, near a lot of restaurants, and with excellent freeway access. It may be an older hotel, but it is well maintained, and our room was immaculate. We were also surprised by how quiet it was at night. All in all, I think Hardman House is an excellent value for the money, and we would definitely stay there again.

I didn’t see the extra towels we asked for.

I like that you can talk to a person anytime, and that person is very helpful and courteous. I like that the process was made easier by this, when at other places problems can happen if everything a big conglomerate.

The water in the bathroom came out yellowish, look liked hasn’t been used for a long time. The elevator and the corridor were a bit dirty because the renovation of the hotel is taking place. The fruit at the breakfast look quite old and not fresh.

The location is great to visit downtown Carson City. The staff was polite and helpful.

The HVAC system didn’t work. But the receptionist brought a space heater. The shower could use some black mold treatment.

This is my favorite place to stay in Carson City. The location is great and the rooms are comfortable. I like to walk downtown to eat and shop.

Carpets could have been cleaned or replaced. Breakfast was only cold cereal, toast and low grade fruit. Nothing too appealing.

Everything was dated, carpets in room old and stained. It was close to downtown, people were nice and clean but dated and old.

While it is accepted that this is a "historic" hotel, the facilities are in bad need of repair and upgrades. The shower, for me was lukewarm, but my husband's was fine, but the shower head makes it nearly impossible to shower comfortably for me, as a six-foot-tall woman. The toilets are low flow and very, very low to the ground.

The staff, from housekeeping to front desk, was exceptional. Kind, personable, and so very helpful and friendly!! I appreciated the family atmosphere.
