We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe stairs were a concern for our 2 year old granddaughter. We bought baby gates at Fred Meyer. The Weber grill would not stay lit at times. So, we weren’t able to use it for some meals. The downstairs beds were not comfortable for adults.
Living room and upstairs bedroom were very comfortable. Living room furniture is amble and very relaxing! So was the dining room area. We love how close the beaches were! We loved the quiet serenity of this location.

United StatesViews, lots of windows and a great deck. The kitchen has lots of space for cooking and everything you need. Just bring your own spices. We had a few hours free after work and saw the crab pots. Got to take out the SUP before high tide and scored a few keepers. Amazing to have almost everything we needed at the house for crabbing/clamming! Looking forward to staying at a ‘We Heard Cats RV & Vacation rentals’ property again soon.

United StatesHands down the most stressful and frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a booking. We hadn’t even arrived yet, and things were already going wrong. There was a miscommunication about my age during booking, so we had to rebook the house under my mom’s name since she was joining us and met the 25+ age requirement. We got that sorted. But when we arrived at the house, we were completely locked out. The owner gave us the wrong code because they never updated the reservation to reflect the new name. We were literally stranded outside the property for almost an hour, calling over and over 10+ times with no response. Absolutely no communication. We finally had to call Booking.com, who said if the host didn’t respond soon, they’d cancel the whole stay. Only then did we finally get a call back and were let in. I was hoping that was the worst part but no. A week later, I get an email saying the host canceled the reservation and issued a refund. Out of nowhere. Then I get a message from them accusing me of canceling it on purpose, which is completely untrue. I didn’t cancel anything and I have proof from bookings saying the owner had cancelled the stay. I didn’t even want to deal with them again after how badly they handled check-in, so I called Booking.com directly to get it fixed, which they did. I even sent payment again, just to avoid more issues. But the host STILL came after me and had the AUDACITY of accusing me of not paying, saying I trespassed, and even threatening to take me to court over something I had already resolved and paid for. If you’re into being locked out of your rental, ignored, falsely accused, and threatened with a lawsuit, go ahead and book this place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.
The house was very clean.
