Towels were thin. The room was small. The balcony overlooked... trash cans and a roof. The bedframe was huge and we constantly bumped our shins against it. There were no places to charge phones! There should be a place to charge phones on either side of the bed. Very disappointed.

The only problem was that the hotel doesn't have an elevator and I had to carry the stroller and suitcases to go up to the third floor where our room was.

It was a bit old/aged. Not dirty but could tell some stains on some of the furniture. Room was a bit small. Very expensive for what you get, but that's the case with everything in Catalina!

Room was too small. I was lead to believe that there was a view of the harbour. Turned out to be the wall. The room was so small for three people. A bunk bed was what was offered. Very disappointed considering the price was600$

Had some problem with toilet, the pipe struck and no water came to tank, so cannot flush. Later, it recovered, but it seemed that a lot of stain came out of the pipe. The cold water pipe generate hummer-like noise when open to full. I solved myself to turn the shut-off value to a larger position. I think the stuff need to verify the valve setting regularly and do some regular plumbing maintenance. Not all guests has such engineering capability. The carpet was very dirty, I dropped some water to the carpet, when I used cloth to absorb it, the water become very, very dirty and cloth became black. The Wifi was broken for a whole day.

The hotel location is great, and common area is good. They provide luggage storage even for before and after the check-in/check-out. Although the shower room is small, but I love the smell of the gels.

We were on the 4th floor and there is only stairs. We only had backpacks so this really wasn’t an issue but it would have been challenging with a roller bag. Very expensive on a Friday night for a very basic hotel but served the purpose.

The bunk bed deluxe was really small. I think they could have added a chair or desk so people didn't have to sit on the floor or the bed. I called booking.com to see if they could get me a bigger room but the hotel was more interested in charging me $75 + taxes for a slightly larger room than letting us use the larger room. We were already paying close to 320 for that small room and didn't want to pay another 100$ for another room

The sheets were stained with different things. We got rid of those sheets and used the ones that looked cleanest. There was no conditioner in the bottle provided in the shower.

The prices were outrageous, rivaling 5 star hotels mainland. 500 for a small room full bed no closet after fees for 1 night and couldnt check in till 4pm. The t.v. service was poor, bad connection couldnt watch an episode of Shark Tank late at night.

It was close to everything, but all of Avalon is close to everything so that is a standard everywhere you stay.
