Elevator would have been nice. We stayed on the third floor. Hot tub not in service. Uneven walkways. Rooms need some updating. Price was a little high but maybe because of holiday weekend.

Good location, great view of the harbor. Staff was helpful. Patio was charming and welcoming, nice seating areas throughout the hotel. Having a refrigerator in the room was nice.

The hotel is old and run down. The beds were not comfortable and I was disappointed that they have a hotel vehicle but don’t offer rides back to the ferry.

The bathroom and shower were very small. About 3' x 3' shower stall and toilet was wedged into a tiny space. Also, the WiFi was pretty slow.

Overall cleanliness could have been improved. There was no housekeeping services due to Covid-19. The sheets were “clean” but still had large stains. Yellow stains in the box spring cover as well. Windows could have used some maintenance. Shower was very cramped and water pressure in the shower head was barely a trickle. Balcony light right outside our window was on all night so it lit up the room when we were trying to sleep.

Room had a great view into Avalon bay. Great decorations and comfortable king bed. Great and hospitable staff. Overall very quiet and comfortable with no real disturbances.

As an older property, there are some things that need attention. The paint in our room was peeling and the bathroom fan needed cleaning.

Very clean hotel with super friendly and accommodating staff. My parents had a charming room with a large bathroom that included a claw foot tub! We stayed in one of the lodges and appreciated the set up (separate rooms joined by a bath).

Just a suggestion: Breakfast selection could be more varied and less commercial (pastries were store bought).

We did get a partial view of the ocean so that was appreciated. Staff was friendly, courteous and very professional. The location was ideal - walking distance to and from the ferry, very close to restaurants and shops but away from the noise, and some places of interest. The room was very clean.

Staff was indifferent, not friendly. Housekeep services suspended due to Covid, guests were required to take used linens to front desk before being given fresh, which meant up and down 3 flights of stairs.
