Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI left my suit jacket and called immediately to inform them that I knew I had forgotten it. Despite calling and assurances that it would be waiting for me on my next visit, they apparently "lost" it. Not awesome.
Location was great for my work. I slept well and the location is great if you have things to do in downtown St. Paul. Its within walking distance of the train station and, if you enjoy a run, the river is very close by.

Loved how clean everything was, staff was excellent, and the location was nice. Food was good, decor and linens were lovely.

United StatesParking was difficult. We parked in the World Trade overnight garage. Not too expensive, however it was a hassle with the construction around the building.
Loved our stay! I had several hotels to pick from and I’m glad I chose the Celeste. The staff were incredible, accommodating, friendly and in such good spirits! Room was beautiful, comfortable beds, great breakfast in the chapel!

United StatesThe area was several displaced people near and around the hotel, which in a historical neighborhood. It did not bother me much but I could see it being an issue for some people.
Love the architecture and the building. Rooms were unique, comfortable and good size. Continental breakfast was nice.

United StatesThis part of downtown has a lot of unsheltered folks, not the properties' fault, but unsettling from the perspective of a visitor. Furniture in the room was a little sparse

United StatesThe front entry stairs could be swept and kept free of debris. There was only one chair in our room and it would have been nice to have two.
The breakfast was fine and in the pretty chapel room. The building was very interesting and clean. The location of the hotel was a problem because of the population on the street. When we first arrived, we were going to walk to dinner but due to loitering groups, and questionable characters on the sidewalk we decided to drive everywhere we went. In spite of this, I would definitely stay there again. At night from my room on the second floor, I could spot the lit up top of the capitol building and the churches across the street were elegant.

United StatesSeeing there is limited hanging and drawer space, it would have been nice to have a luggage rack. Otherwise, this is a great place.

United StatesThe first room we had was on the ground floor. I would recommend asking for a room on a higher floor, as there is no view, and it feels a little claustrophobic. The air didn't work, so they moved us to a two bedroom suite for no extra charge. It was lovely. It provided plenty of room for the whole family to hang out.
The hotel is absolutely stunning! It was quiet and relaxing, and the staff were more than accommodating.

United StatesIt might be nice to have a rug going down the hallways so it doesn't feel so much like a school.
We loved this place, and had so much fun discovering all the nods to its previous history as a nunnery and art school. So clean, so quaint, super comfy bed and wonderful breakfast. Also, the bar had a great atmosphere to relax and have a drink in.
