How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Attacked by more fleas than could count. Need to treat 1094(?). Moved to another room easy enough, but did not plan on extensive dog bathing to flush off fleas. Not to worry after 24 hrs dog med kills fleas that bite dog. Would have been nice to see some room rate deduction.

Water was turned off, but this was quickly resolved by the very professional staff. Would recommend staying here
Thank you for staying! We are sorry that workers unrelated to our property had the main water shut off to work on a building in the area that is not owned by Century Suites. The workers had not informed us they were shutting the water off. Our maintenance man drove back in and got the water turned on within the hour. We have also spoken to the workers and informed them to tell us if they need to turn water off in the future but we do not expect the water to be shut off to the suites.

Verified reviewThe room was very musty to the point that I coughed the entire night. There was no outdoor light on the outside of the house and it was surrounded with bushes, dark and creepy. Lucas at The front desk could not help me out at all but told me that I will not be charged for the night. He also told my neighbor who was in there that she wouldn’t be charged either because they found two bats in her room. It was just gross.
We are sorry if you did not enjoy your suite for IU Move-In. We have several repeat guests. Your suite was inspected by both housekeeping and desk staff prior to arrival and nothing was wrong with the suite. We have not had any complaints from any other guests about your suite. We did not offer a a free suite as there was nothing wrong with your suite. We were sold out as well as the whole town. Lucas called around to several hotels to see if there happened to be any last minute openings but after 5 calls there was nothing else we could do for you. It sounds like you might have needed a light bulb if your porch light was not working. Did you mention this to us or was there a pole light out which would require maintenance? We do have a courtyard with a gazebo in a wooded setting. Our landscaping includes large trees, bushes, and flowers. Wildlife is abundant including deer, chipmunks, birds, and squirrels. We actually have weddings in the gazebo due to the lovely setting. We are 2 miles east of campus.

I paid $150 extra for incidentals on top of room rate. I don’t like this practice because the property already has my credit card info.

We had a spacious living room where one person slept on the pullout couch & a dining area with a kitchenette that was adequately supplied with dishes, cutlery & items for cooking along with microwave, fridge, small stove top & dishwasher. The bathroom was equally spacious & the king size bedroom was comfortable.

Verified reviewStaff assistance was exceptional! The room was, essentially, a two-bed, one-bedroom apartment. Basic offerings for plates, glasses, cups, coffee machine. We did not have issues with any noise. The location is very close to a shopping mall and several options for dining.
Breakfast is mentioned in the on-line advertisement. However, the reality was a collection of take-with-you granola bars, cereal, bagels--this was quite disappointing and for this reason alone, I would not return to this facility.
We are sorry that you felt the complimentary continental breakfast items were a deal breaker. We show these items in photos on the booking site. We also offer several other breakfast items. There is a microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker in the lobby and in the suites. There are tables in our lobby/breakfast area where breakfast items can be eaten in the area or taken away.

A deep clean is needed. For example, the blinds and the tub could use some cleaning. Also, small mechanical issues need to be taken care of -- many of the cabinet hinges were coming loose (I tightened them)
