You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe place was very clean, but smelled like an older building. You could only see a little sliver of the ocean from the back porch, but we were so close it did not matter. Also, I do not know if Chateau La Mer could even have authority over this, but a ramp at the beach access would be nice, as we had to carry the wagon with the baby down the steps.
The distance to the beach was very short, we were so pleased that it was within walking distance. The kitchen was fully operational, even for steaming, using a crockpot, you name it! The place was very cozy and perfect for our little family of 3. There was a place outside to wash the sand off before going into the building, so that was nice. Also, the portion of the beach is exclusive to certain renters/locals, so it was not crowded like other parts of Destin beach.

United StatesWe needed a larger coffee pot. We love are coffee and it would had been nice to have a larger one so that we didn’t have to make so many pots. It would had been fine for a couple of people but with 4 of us we had to make two pots so we could all get one cup of coffee. No biggy, we made it work! Some things seemed older like pictures, dishes and couch. It could be updated a little. Although, I did love the vintage dishes! Me and my husband stayed in the room with the 2 queen beds and the TV is so small in that room it made it difficult to watch it. We gave my daughter and her family the larger room and they were satisfied with theirs. There is a larger one in the king room. Also, we had a wasp nest on the balcony. We couldn’t sit out there until my husband took care of it. They were swarming around our heads.
Clean and outside was well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. Nice and clean bedding.

United StatesI didn’t like that we reported a smell coming from our shower that the property manager said would eventually stop but never did so the days we were there we had to smell a rotten egg smell. There was also several blinds missing we had to put a sheet up for privacy. There were no covers for the pull out couch had to use just sheets it was freezing. The response time for someone to contact you when there is an issue is way too long.
I liked that it was walking distance to the beach and close to everything

United StatesThis place is falling apart and the owners are using bandaids on a wound that requires stitches. Cracks in the tub, mirror in bathroom looks rough, and the curtains are way too sheer. Not to mention the microwave and coffee pot didn’t work. My biggest complaints though are we walked into a room with dirty floors. We took our shoes off and came in. Within an hour our feet were black. That’s unacceptable in my book.
This condo is in a good location. Getting to the beach is pretty simple. The condo isn’t bad. Just a basic apartment. It’s very mid level though.
