Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOne of the neighbors across the hall was extremely rude and played his music loudly until 1am. We asked him to turn it down and he refused.
Very comfortable and cozy. Family friendly and easy access to the beach. View was immaculate. The bed was super comfortable.

United StatesIt didn't seem to have been cleaned very thoroughly with fingerprints on the microwave and fridge. We found some things on the carpet that make me think it wasn't vacuumed very well and there were cloth-smudges on one of the bathroom mirrors. It looked nice enough but I got the feeling that the cleaning was a rush job. The balcony hadn't been swept. The pull-out bed in the living room was confusing so we didn't use it. Fortunately, we had brought our own foam pad so just used that and left the bed alone.
The condo is spacious and the kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator and microwave. It is carpeted (except kitchen and bathrooms), which I like because it feels more cosy than hard flooring. The view was nice and it wasn't cluttered with knick-knacks. The place just has a nice feel to it.

United StatesThe kitchen was poorly stocked, e.g. no broiler pan, knives were so dull that they tore bread. The ads showed the walkway to the beach and it turns out that it was connected to the next-door property and we couldn't use it. Our unit was on the third floor and there was no elevator. Overall, the building and the unit were shabby.
the town of Neskowin is great.

United StatesIt would have been nice to have a dishwasher but that is not a dealbreaker. We had spotty internet at times but also know that's not the fault of the owner.
The beach was somewhat secluded and not as busy as Lincoln City. The space was clean and fully stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, blankets, etc. We loved that everything was right on the premises (store, restaurant, etc.). We've already booked our next visit!

United StatesThe bed was incredibly hard. So hard I had to sleep on the murphy bed, but that wasn't much better. I need a hard bed, but this was beyond hard. The neighbor who lives across the hallway blasted music from 8pm-5am. It was so loud myself and my wife (who is 8 months pregnant) couldn't sleep. I had to bang on his door multiple times around 1-130am, to no avail. Around 2am I leaned across the balcony porch to look in the window and see him sleeping on his couch. It then took me two separate attempts banging on his balcony window to wake him up. I asked him several times to turn the music down. He gave me a few hand gestures, gestured for me to "calm down", and then saluted me. I assumed this was him understanding my request. Nope. The music continued. Eventually I tried to fall asleep, only for him to turn the music UP. At this point I gave up and watched TV until 5am, when he finally turned the music off. I highly considered calling the non-emergency line to report him for a noise complaint. It was that loud. This was supposed to be an awesome Valentine's weekend treat with my wife, and it frankly was a nightmare. This awkward encounter then makes it uncomfortable to walk past him in the hallway, use the balcony when he's outside, etc. Not to mention, this gentleman doesn't even park in a marked spot. He parks basically in the middle of the road so he doesn't have to walk far. I've been coming to Proposal Rock my entire life. This was an unusual experience for me here, but it was THAT bad on the first night. The local manager did what he could, and luckily there was no music the second night. Apparently this gentleman has been complained about before. The apartment itself is wonderful - and we love Proposal Rock - but this issue needs to be addressed or it could ruin your entire experience. To be entirely frank, I would personally rent another apartment until I was assured that the problems with the neighbor had been settled.
Beautiful location, great apartment, very clean. All amenities included were nice (coffee maker, etc). The balcony is my favorite part, just being able to drink coffee, read, and enjoy the view.
