Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Trying to sleep with a square pillow was uncomfortable. Wouldn't be so bad if there was 1 regular size pillow behind the square ones.

Could've used a few more towels in the hot tub rooms
Good location. Near restaurants. Very clean. King room with hot tub was a good size for two people without being cramped.

There was a popcorn machine but only one night was there popcorn. I am a popcorn alcoholic and was disappointed 😟

At least two chairs in the room so one person didn't have to sit on the bed. I asked the front desk if we could have a second chair (like one from the eating area would have worked), but the person at the front desk said they didn't do that, didn't have one to give us for the 3 days we were there. No plug in the bathtub allowing a bath rather than the shower. The water pressure was very low. No screen on the window that could be opened. Bedding was clean and I liked the non-carpeted floors, makes the room feel cleaner.
The breakfast was fine. More than most hotels give you so that was nice.

The coffee should be good!
We were on the main floor, right across from the pool. We loved being close to the pool. It was not noisy at all. The buffet breakfast was adequate, at best. I have to be gluten free, so very limited choices, since buffets rely heavily on breads, waffles and pastries. I had a banana and peanut butter, and one morning, bacon, eggs and seasoned potatoes. Coffee was not very good, at all.

The bed was firm, which isn’t a bad thing. I just prefer a softer bed. I think they are working on some changes in the room. There was some visible patching on the walls and unfortunately I think mold was starting to grow in the bathroom. There isn’t an ice machine either, at least not one outside for guests to use any time.
Close to restaurants, but perfect in the sense that you do not have to drive directly in to traffic. Pool was great. Very clean and who doesn’t love a heated pool?! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Do to some construction going on at the sight, the cable for supplying WIFI had been severed so WIFI was not available. This required using our own phone's data. I think a reduction in the room rate would have been in order. But no offer was given. Had there been a partner hotel nearby, this also might have been suggested.
There was an adequate breakfast. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool. The AC units were in good working order.

Staff was not overly friendly. Breakfast was just ok. Pool was very small. Room had a musty smell. Couldn’t use the elevator in the morning due to housekeeping using it.
Price was good. Jacuzzi hot tub in room was very relaxing once we figured out you had to reset the GFI.

The tv didn’t have an information button or code card to indicate which channel number was which station name ie; HGTV-channel 2.
Staff was pleasant and not put out when asked to unlock the exercise room. Additionally, I’d had special requests for room location that was met.

It would have been nice to have a little sofa in the room to watch TV.
I used to live in Crystal Lake so know the area. Comfort Inn is conveniently located. It is somewhat older but adequate. The rooms were clean and they provided room service everyday unlike many other places who still hide behind the Covid excuse. A hot breakfast was available every day. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Will stay there again when I visit family.

The bathroom needed updating and the hotel main entrance seemed outdated as well.
I liked that it was pet friendly and also the pool was great bonus. The pool water was a nice temperature. Breakfast was great as well.
