To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

United States of AmericaBathroom was challenging. Shower is narrow with a low pan so water easily made it onto the bathroom floor. Location in the bedroom not ideal for light sleepers. If you need any sort of mobility aid, this bathroom isn't for you as the size is very small. Upstairs unit noise transfers very easily into the unit. Property is no-shoes which is great, but there is nowhere to remove and place rain-soaked shoes except an uncovered porch or inside the small kitchen. Would be great if a cover was added with a small rack for footwear.
Location is easy to find, parking is fine. Easy access. Relatively quiet neighborhood. Stocked kitchen and extra linens very helpful.

United States of AmericaNo bath sized towels, a half roll of TP in the bathroom, a frozen bag of ice stuck to bottom of freezer unit from last tenant, lumpy loveseat sofa bed that probably should be replaced, maybe with a day bed? Coded locks a bit confusing, but we figured it out. Some noise from trains passing through, much less if windows closed, but we like them open in evening. Our only complaints.
Since it had a small kitchen, we made our own breakfast. The location is within walking distance of so very many things in Springfield, including a lake park and near everything by car. The unit was absolutely clean and tidy upon arrival. Very cozy, and if you don't want glitz but laid back tasteful comfort, this fits the bill. Very good main guest room, well appointed little kitchen. Free, easy, plentiful parking and a shady back yard to enjoy in the evening. Great wifi and smart tv. Great air conditioning! Very good soundproofing so you really don't hear your neighbors in units 2 or 3. Someone visits the grounds each day in person, not intrusive at all, but nice to know available if needed. The location is amazing. The neighborhood is super quiet. It was super convenient having an on site washer and dryer.
