We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe only thing that was a huge problem was the fire alarm went off at 12:00 and had to walk down 3 flights of stairs half asleep and stand out in the cold until the fire department cleared us to go back in. Then the alarms went off again another 3 times at 6:30 in the morning. Being startled several times when I needed the rest. I didn’t take a shower for fear of the alarms going off and getting caught in the shower. I couldn’t go back to sleep.
The room was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the room and the location was great and welcoming. The staff was great, very welcoming and friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience.
