The pool was closed which was disappointing since I booked this particular hotel for the pool. The hotel itself was nice, but the New York side of the falls is kind of run down and dumpy. The Canadian side has better view, more to do, and the town surrounding it on the Canadian side is much nicer.

The main aspect is cleaniness, they made my room but did not run the vacuum cleaner on the carpet and so you could still make out little scraps and crumbs on the floor, also we got new towels but oddly the old ones were left inside the bathroom forming a pile! The cluntertops were not cleansed, and neither were the wc or bathroom floor. Whether this is an established problem or just a casual mistake, I don't know, so all I can do is share my personal experience. Also, although the external isolation is brilliant (we were facing an avenue and never heard a single car passing), we did hear what we deemed to be the tv set from the neighbouring room. Again, whether this is the norm or just a case of pot luck where I got stuck with a particularly loud neighbour, I don't have a way to know, but in any case you might want to make sure you request a room with extra privacy when checking in.

The key factor here is the friendliness of their staff. The ladies at reception desk literally go out of their (busy) way to get you everything you need, always willing to help more, always with their best big smile on their faces. Not common at all for hotels in the US, not at least budget or holiday resorts, come to that. Rooms are quite large and spacious, which make them ultra comfortable and there's a multi functional bar / restaurant which also serves Starbucks coffee quite convenient for the weary traveller. Windows in the room can't be opened, but the airco is surprisingly efficient (I personally hate aircos and always struggle to get the room to a temperature of my liking) but you can tell they have best in class technology and so not having the chance to open the window doesn't become a problem at all, kudos to that!

The room rates were too pricey. I originally booked 2 nights and was promised a third night at the same rate. When we decided to stay an extra night however we were informed by another desk clerk that they couldn’t honor that rather and we were ch $50 more for the same room.

It was a longer walk from the falls than what we’d prefer. Frig in room was too small to store leftover containers.

I liked everything about this hotel, 1)Location:10/10 The location of this hotel is great as the fall is very close to this hotel and there are many restaurants nearby and the train station is also close like 10 minute taxi which makes the location 10/10. 2)Breakfast:8/10 The breakfast was great but had very fewer options but was apparently great. 3)Staff:10/10 The staff was great and was very helpful like eventhough we had 2 nights in this hotel still they cleaned our rooms and there is laundry aswell so the staff is 10/10. 4)Rooms:9/10 Great rooms as they were huge and cleaned

Need to pay more attention to the room cleaning, was taken care of in a short time.

Location is 15 minutes walk from the falls, room was spacious, staff were very friendly and helpful. Bistro offerings were nice as well.

The smell the room had when we first walked in. The lack of changing sheets or towels. The hotel was surrounded by abandoned buildings which was an eye sore. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The water pressure was very low. The carpet had stains and the hallways carpet had stains. The bathroom toilet had a stain and the bathroom shower floor was a bit black. I guess from the foot stain from taking a shower. The building just looked rusty and old from the outside. The was a car parked there with flat tires a that’s seems abandoned and they didn’t bother to clear that either. I didn’t mind the young kids but it’s seemed it was being managed by them which was strange but they were very professional and friendly. They did inform me students worked them from the university. The area was also very abandoned. Abandon houses every where. I was disappointed this being NY. I expected more from that area.

The customer services was great! The lounge area was really nice. The pool was nice. The water was a little dark but it was nice. The gym was a great addition as well. The bathroom was decent.

Our first room the toilet did not flush properly as the tank wouldn’t fill up. The gal behind the desk stated she would have it fixed but not until our reservation was already over. She and the maintenance guy said it wasn’t a big deal because we could fill up the ice bucket 4-5 times to fill the tank so it would flush. Additionally the tv was parallel with the bed so it was difficult to watch.

We were provided a new room after convincing the front desk person the bathroom did not meet our standards. See explanation below.

The location was great and in walking distance from the falls. The view of the fireworks was also nice. The staff was also friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and the price was excellent. The jetted tub was relaxing after walking and site seeing all day. I was a lot of space for a family of 3.
