Reviews of Cozy apt with great city view

The only good thing about the apartment was that it was easy to get to Times Square in New York by public transport.

We are very disappointed. The apartment does not match the description on Booking. Nowhere was it mentioned before arrival that the apartment is shared with other travelers. Both the bathroom and kitchen are shared. The apartment was dirty when we arrived. There was expired and moldy food left in the kitchen, which stayed on the counter the entire week and was never cleaned up. The fridge was full of old, expired food. The bathroom floor was covered in long black hairs and dust everywhere. There were also hairs in the bathtub, and the drain was clogged because of it. We asked the host to come and clean the bathroom, but he never responded to our messages??? We had to clean up someone else’s mess just to be able to take a shower. Absolutely disgusting!! This is completely unacceptable. 🤢🤢 Other guests in the apartment were messy and noisy. They would often come in around 1 AM talking loudly and start cooking, so we couldn’t even sleep peacefully. I find it unbelievable that the host refused to respond to my messages asking for cleaning, and also ignored Booking.com customer service when they tried to contact Jimmy. I do not recommend this accommodation, as it’s clear the host simply does not care.

Great view. Close enough to the City and nice apartment

Building seemed relatively new, safe neighbourhood. Location was great (only 20min from center of Manhattan, bus stop 2min from building entrance, bus was very consistent), The views from the windows as well as the terrace were amazing. Communication was great. It indeed had a private bathroom.

We loved the area, the view from our window, and view from roof! Short stroll to bus stop to the city.

My husband wanted 2nd roll of paper towels. Could have used a swifter mop for my own room quick clean up and the bathroom (it had a battery operated sweeper but don’t know when it ran). Doors on room and bathroom could use a wipe down.

The best thing about this place is its location, it’s too easy to arrive to Manhattan, you only need to wait in the corner for the 123 bus. If you want excelent location with low money this place is excelent

The host was great but I have some problems with the schedule and with his organitation. The check in was one hour late beacuse the room wasnt ready yet. Once in the room I have to wait one hour more to get the keys. I lost too much time on my first day. I came for vacations and the time for me was so valuable. Hope these problems can be solved to future guest.

Good location, bus stop to NY very close. The apartament is comfortable. The roof top with the view on Manhattan is fantastic. It's a great attraction.

Unfortunately, the apartament is dirty. We arrived at 11 pm and our room wasn't cleaned. Unbelievable! The kitchen lacks cups and mugs.

Its a nice, quiet place. My booking was on the 4th floor, and although I had heavy luggage, the lift was working fine, and I had no issues about moving my stuff up. the auto check in process was also smooth and seamless.

I thought I was booking an Apt with private bathroom and kitchenette. I guess I misunderstood. So although I had booked for 8 non-refundable nights, I had to leave after the first night because the shared facilities thing was not going to work for me. Also, would have been nice to have a TV in the room. Even a small sized one.

Smooth check-in process and great communication for the most part. Good location with bus stop few minutes walking away to go to Manhattan. The bedroom was clean and had the essentials. Very good price for the amenities provided.

Noise and cleanliness are dependent on other visitors. I think the listing could be better at saying it's 3 bedrooms in one apartment. The kitchen can get a bit disorganized as well given it's shared across many visitors coming in and out.

great location, bus station 123 nearby which goes every 20-30 mins and also takes about 20 mins to the City Center, small supermarket nearby, amazing views of the skyline from rooftop and room A, our room was very big with lots of space, extra closet room for storage/luggage, communication with host was good overall

Bathroom and couch wasn't as clean as we'd hoped but overall tidiness was okay. Unfortunately, there had been problems with Booking.com as our room had been overbooked and we were asked to stay in a different location for the first night. For compensation, we were promised free breakfast. However, there was barely anything that we could have had for breakfast as most of the stuff in the fridge belonged to other guests, also some stuff had obviously gone bad in the fridge (very brown bananas, old cucumber, old pizza, old salad) Also nothing was labeled free to use (like cereal, milk, other stuff in the cupboards) so we ended up buying our own milk and cereal and stuff.

The location was great and the communication as well. Beautiful view on the rooftop. The kitchen had everything we need. Easy to reach the appartment with NJ Transit bus (different ticket than New York).

There is hardly any cleaning and the accommodation is therefore not well maintained. The bathroom is generally in average condition.

we had free coffee and free instalations like umbrellas for rainy days, hair dryer and washing machine… the views were amazing, the neighborhood is very calm and we felt secure. the bus stop is only one minute walk from the house which is very convenient to go to NY in 20 min. the host owner very kind and replied soon to all our messages.

some places of the house could have been cleaner, but in generak it was ok.

Great view. Close proximity to public transportation. Nice neighborhood with nice bakery just 1/2 block away. Rooftop deck would be great in better weather. Can be in central manhattan in 20 minutes on 123 bus.

Lots of noise from nearby fire station. Unique common space kitchen that’s shared with other guests within same unit.. No television. Not enough towels. There’s plenty of room for a more comfortable queen sized bed instead of just a full that was somewhat uncomfortable. None of these were deal breakers but could be better.

I cannot imagine a better located apartment with a more beautiful view at a more affordable price in New York. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had the most amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. The bathroom was spotless, the kitchen well-equipped - Jimmy even provided free coffee and tea! Have I mentionet the roof terrace? I won‘t. Come and see it for yorself!
