Convenient location just minutes from the very pleasant historic downtown, plus, the free shuttle bus stops just around the corner. Very well-run laundry service operates conveniently in the same building.

The location is great- close to Elk Ave but quiet. We always found parking easily in front or across the street. The living, dining, kitchen areas were very nice, spacious and it was great to interact with other travelers. Also, great laundromat attached!

Very minor, but some shower heads could use an upgrade. No A/C in the rooms, but we just kept the window open overnight, so it didn’t impact our stay.

Beds like clouds stuffed with angel feathers. Clean crisp linens. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Walking distance to town. Staff was like sweet house moms. 1000/10 would hike to CB and stay again.

There is no AC, but we opened a window and the room included a fan, so really it wasn't an issue.

My husband and I were really pleasantly surprised by Crested Butte Hostel. Our room was spacious and quiet. The women's and men's shared bathrooms were huge and spotlessly clean. Even though it was a "hostel" with a common kitchen and lounge area, I felt like we had plenty of privacy. It felt just like a nice hotel. The location is easy walking distance to town. We would stay here again on future visits to Crested Butte.

It’s a bit overpriced for a hostel

My son and I loved hanging out in the cozy living room with other guests at night, playing games and just chatting by the fireplace. We had the single room with two twin beds, and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The room at night got very hot, and there was no way to really cool things down even with the window open in the middle of winter. Not a lot of close parking options when the house is full.

Nice well, furnished hostel. All the other house guest I ran into were friendly. Lots of space for gear storage. Being right next to the gas station for food/snack runs is a plus. The kitchen was well stocked.

Staff are non-existent and that is a problem if you forget your code to the room. Tried to contact them by phone as it says to do at the unattended "front desk" but no-one answered. In the end, we had to break into our room. This is not ideal. The rooms are small and have shared bathrooms but they are comfortable.

The property is lovely with a great kitchen and lounge area. The location is great. The room is comfortable although small. I like the fridge in the room. The shared bathroom facilities were large and clean with all necessities.

Better directions for finding the hostel.?We were on foot after traveling by Bustang.

We were totally impressed with the entire experience. The shared lounge was as cozy and comfy as home. The staff person gave us great hiking directions from hostel door. The bathroom facilities across the hall were sparkling clean and well equipped.

Wow! This place is, by far, the nicest hostel i’ve ever stayed in. In fact, CB Hostel is cleaner than hotels I’ve stayed in recently. The showers are spa quality! Beds are comfy even in the bunks with nice full pillows. The kitchen is spotless with all the amenities needed and even has an espresso machine! The location is awesome. You can walk to main street or a few trails nearby. They also have a really nice laundromat attached and indoor bike storage.
