When I booked I was told it was a bedroom and separate living with a sofa bed. It was only one room total bed and futon in same room. It was a little awkward but we did okay.

The location was perfect, check-in in easy, the staff was super nice and we had a wonderful stay! I was worried we would hear the traffic noise from the highway, BUT was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the cottage was! I will be using them again next time!!

I had no real dislikes, I always enjoy my stay at Kickapoo Shores Cottages. I surely look forward to staying there in the future. Great staff and a great place to unwind. It's my favorite place to stay in the area. Bang up :)!!!! Also, my family enjoyed the Cottages and had a great time with me there.

The ice house is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, darn it. Loved that place, too!

My goal: a break from real life for a few days. Done! Easy check-in, perfect size room, comfortable, welcoming. Walked 100' to the icehouse, had a couple of beers and a fabulous burger. Spent a day at the Lake Livingston State Park (walking, kayaking). Slept in one day, sat on the front porch and then sat out by the water, reading and listening to the birds. Friends & family were impressed with the video of the place and front yard that I sent them (I can't post the video, so I took fuzzy screenshots from the video.). I'll be back!

The bugs got in the cottage at night, but we manage to keep them at bay. Turning off the lights helps. Be aware that the bed is a full size bed (good that I am very petite, but my other half is 6” tall. It was small for him. The highway noise is loud when you are in the patio, but when inside the cottage you can barely hear it. It’s like a white noise with the AC/heater running.

The cottage was the perfect size. A two seater table, small couch, microwave, coffee maker, fridge are there for use. Bathroom is small, but it serve its purpose. Patio area is a pleasant place to sit for coffee in AM or wine in PM overlooking the stunning tall pine tree, watching squirrels and hoping for “big Al” (resident alligator) to show up. While the picnic tables as well as lounge chairs around the bonfire pit facing the water are available for use. It rained the last two nights/days we were in Onalaska, but rain or shine we had a wonderful visit. Da’Linda checked us in early and she was AWESOME! Loretta the housekeeper was also very friendly. Lake Livingston State Park and Big Thicket Natural Reserve are good options to hike at. Restaurant options are within min away.

Water was down because of our warm rainless summer.

Dalinda was very welcoming. The area was peaceful and perfect. You can see the bridge across the street from your porch and there is a water inlet with turtles and fishing you can use in front of property. Enjoyed much needed stay!

You are right on the lake and have access to Padal boards and kayaks along with docks to fish off of. There is a nice little bar and restaurant right next door that closes at 9pm

A little pricey (what isn't) but on par with a hotel room at that size. Our stay was too short. Road noise was loud at times, but It didn't bother me. (It might bother others)

Cottage was spacious, clean, & private. Better than a hotel room or roughing it. Friendly and attentive owner. Would rent again.
