We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesProperty is extremely rundown. Note the window picture. Locked with a spring pin. Bedding seemed marginally clean but it was hard to tell because sheets were dark gray. There was crusty stuff on it. Dark gray facecloths were in very rough shape and seemed stained. Tub surround and floor of the tub had black mold and staining. Also, the balcony was shared which might be important to other folks so listing might need an adjustment.
We had a quiet night following a concert and slept well. Most of the us it was very clean. Communication with our host was excellent and they were responsive and friendly.

CanadaThe balcony seemed like it was shared with the room beside us, so we didn't want to go out.
The location was excellent and I love that the room had all the amenities needed.

United StatesAlthough some of the areas, the pool, hot tub, pool bathrooms, sports areas, grills, pool seating have all been updated and were squeaky clean, the inside lobby, game room and rooms need a bit of updating. Regardless it was cozy and worked for us. Having a full kitchen was a bonus. I didn’t realize that our room had a shared balcony as it only said balcony, so that may need to be clearer in the listing. With that being said, there were only 2 chairs and should have had 4, although tight quarters. Suggestion- bring your lawn chairs if you are able. The lawn was nicely mowed, grills out back, as well as new picnic table, so that area can be enjoyed and a place to chill out. They may be in the process of getting it all updated but even so, it had everything we needed so definitely would stay there again. If you’re visiting Weirs Beach or Bank of NH for a concert, only a short distance from both. We didn’t have time but if you can, take a ride on the lake with the Mt Washington boat.
The email arrived right on time to give me the info I needed to get in so that was easy. I liked that it was up on a hill, private and quiet. The view of the lake and mountains is beautiful.

United StatesBalcony was shared with room next door which we found a bit awkward. Could use at least one usb outlet, thankfully I brought my own. Could use a waste basket in bathroom. Toiletries were minimal for two people for even one night.
We only stayed for one night to attend a concert at Bank of New Hampshire Pavillion. Location was perfect. Room was clean and well equipped for our purposes. Bed was very comfortable.

United StatesThe stove was a bit dirty, and the shower wasn’t sparkling clean. The balcony was a bit misleading as it is shared with the neighbors who sat out there making it a bit awkward to walk around them. The curtain that covers the door to the balcony was maybe a little small in width and it felt like our neighbors could see right to our bed. We pushed a bag against the curtain and it worked for us. A few minor flaws that were outweighed by the rest of our stay that was great.
My fiance and I wanted a relaxing, low key get away together before our upcoming wedding. This property provided us just what we were looking for. Cedar Lodge is set back, so no noisy traffic. The building was quiet. The views from the back window were beautiful (check out the sunrise!!!). You can tell that the owners care a lot about their guests with the options of snacks, coffee, even down to feminine hygiene products! Stocked kitchen to cook, dining area, comfortable, clean bed, the couch was a great bonus too! The location is about a 15 minute walk to Weirs Beach, if you don’t mind the hills walking back, or just a short drive down. We were here during the week so everything was pretty laid back, can’t speak for the weekends, but we were looking for some quiet time together before the craziness of the wedding begins, and we found just that here at Cedar Lodge.

United StatesI didn’t realize that we had to share a balcony with the unit next to us and that was just a little awkward when my husband and I wanted to go out there and enjoy the beautiful view. They had their shades open so we felt like we were intruding! That’s my only complaint!
The location was fantastic, amenities were great, the overall studio is very cozy just a little outdated, but honestly, it served a great purpose for us and it was a nice touch to have a couple of little extra things in case you forgot something.

United StatesI cannot understand the good reviews here. This property feels abandoned. We had two rooms. One appeared decent. However, tub was not clean. And there is a glass door that separates one room from an adjoining room. The flimsy shade that went over it allowed me to see into a strangers room, and they into mine. Creepy and not safe for solo female traveler. The front door was locked when we arrived and some couple coming out let us in . But then what. I called the number this lodge had listed on Google. Straight to voicemail. I eventually found a number via booking.com. The woman blamed my lack of gaining entry on booking.com. (I sure got the departure info though) There is no desk or anybody working there. Anyone can get in here. No ID needed as suggested in the description. This is not a lodge. It is a series of privately owned rooms that some management company rents out. While the first with a glass door seemed sort of ok, the second room was the dreariest unused room I’ve seen in a while. Messy bedding. Crummy flat pillows with hair on them. Beat up towels. Two lamps that didn’t work. It’s as though my broke uncle was letting me use his SRO. Both rooms had half full bottles of shampoo. Ew. The whole property felt abandoned and unused. Had I known it was basically an Airbnb I would not have booked this. Cedar Lodge is not a hotel/motel/lodge. We did not stay. I got an email giving me directions of all that I needed to clean upon leaving. Take out the trash, gather linens. Um no. Despite that I never got an email telling me how to check in. Prices here were similar to others in the area. I chose this because it sounded cute. It’s not. Stay somewhere else.

United StatesI didn't like the fact that there was multiple drug deals people sleeping in their vehicle and pissing all over the parking lot mother and child running up and down the Halls after 11:30 at night somebody tried to enter my room while I wasn't there because I left my window unlocked also a mother brought her six month old baby in the hot tub and it puked all over the hot tub so this has been the saddest experience I've had so far

United StatesThe halls & elevator smelled like a 1970's restaurant, both food & smoke. The bedding was not white, there was dust on the coffee table, no wall switches for lamps, only 1 nightstand & no place to charge phones by the bed, power strips on power strips around the room, no wall trim, cold/leaky window, bed & coffee table were wobbly & felt unsafe, checkout instructions to clean & take out trash despite cleaning fee, dirty shower curtain. It lookes like it's been updated, but only to a point & then the finishing touches were overlooked, the smell & overall cleanliness were hard to ignore.
Heat worked, shower was hot, bed was comfortable. Feminine supplies, kurig, local menus, good view of the lake
