Reviews of Days Inn by Wyndham Virginia Beach At The Beach 2 stars

The room fit our family of 4 perfectly, even with our travel crib. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, walking to get food, or walking to fun activities for the family. The continental breakfast was sufficient, nothing amazing, but it got the job done. The beds were super comfy, and the cleaning staff did a great job restocking towels and keeping the bathroom from being too sandy.

The furniture on the balcony was broken, but thankfully, it was still usable. The ceilings were cracked, peeling, and bulging. The curtain had mildew and huge rips. Also, the curtain was missing the stick you use to open and close it. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain and all of the sinks had the hot and cold mixed up. Our room location was next to the street, which made it exceptionally loud at night, so make sure to request a room away from the street if you have little ones but don't have sound machines.

Property is very old and room was in a bad condition. There were cracks and hole in the wall. Bath tub has some layer peeling off. Floor carpet was so dirty and looked like it was never washed .

Room cleaning. The bathroom was grimy. The toilet water kept leaking. The toilet system did not automatically close to refill the water, and to stop the leaking we had to open the water tank and push down the internal lid to stop it. One night, while I was sitting on the bed, a cockroach fell onto my hand!

I liked that we could walk to the beach easily from the building and not paying for parking was nice.

We didn’t have enough towels

If you know some Days Inn by Wyndham you general does not expect much. This hotel instead beat my expectations regarding the common Days Inn issues. There where no mold in the bathroom or lavatory, no roaches, all appliances worked, it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The free breakfast was convenient. The location was within walking distant to the beach. The outdoor balcony was great.
