How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewWe asked for a discount for loss of services and they did give us food allowance.
Negative! Breakfast room closed. No coffee pot in room even tho I asked about it at registration and was told there WAS one in the room. I called every day for it but never came. Microwave was not plugged in and no where to plug in cabinet. I had to carry it to the bathroom vanity for power. Toilet paper was scant. I asked for new roll on second day. On third day still no TP I threatened to use linens for TP if it didn’t come! In the muddle of summer the POOL was not open. It looked clean and useable but closed. The staff didn’t know what they were doing. When I checked in the woman asked me what room I had before she gave me one. One card key dud nut work. Staff had limited to no information/awareness if basic businesses in the area.

The furniture was very dusty, like they never bother to clean it at all. They bathroom could use a little touchup to make it look nicer.

Verified reviewThey did not give us breakfast or had a working pool. The rooms are falling apart you can hear all the noises form other rooms and will not sleep.
The showers have have mold, there’s holes in the wall. The carpet is disgusting and it is not worth the price.

It was dirty. There was only one chair. The door that hid the fridge was broken. The hairdryer was missing so we had to go buy one. Some of the lights didn't work, and it was very dark in the room. Plus, we had to stand on a chair to turn on the AC. Last but not least, the bed was too high, it was hard to get in and out of.

MINOR; first of all no coffee and or continental breakfast/ Swimming pool locked. MAJOR; the front door frame looked like it was kicked in. bathroom door had big patch up hole, brown recluse spider hanging around. the worst part is I had DO NOT DISTURB hanging on the door when loud knocking on my door. the peep holster was blurry so I looked the window blinds. Two very shady black men were standing there with one to his back pressed up against the wall ready to pounce thee othe not in front of door standing away to the left so I would notice the guy with back up against the wall. through the window in a deem voice I called out "WHATS UP" so they played it off that it was the wrong room and went next door. I didn't hear any door open or close and they keep going. I didn't want to tell my wife so she wouldn't start freaking out. even thoe we called for late check out we left within the next hour.........walking out the room SWAT was outside and had someone in handcuffs. SWAT not the sheriff.

Reservation was made April 27 for May 3. It said check in was at 3pm and I had planned on arriving then. Things happened and we did not arrive until 10pm, which was fine. But upon arrival, the associate at the desk said they were over booked and it would be a 30 minutes wait until a room was cleaned for us. He then proceeded to a room with another associate, without anything in hand to get the room ready when he had stayed it needed to be cleaned. When asked if that was going to be our room he said yes and I asked how was he cleaning it if he had nothing no clean sheets, clean towels or anything he then said we just needed to check it had everything it needed. It was very unacceptable having us wait 30 minutes at that time of day and nothing extra was done in the room. The room was unacceptable, carpet had stains, shower tiles looked to be removed and then put back but not done right, toilet didn't flush properly, tv remote was missing battery cover. Also when booking it said there would be breakfast included and that was never mentioned to us where it was and we never saw it.

Bait & switch facility. The pictures are outdated & do not represent the actual room quality. Room smelled,carpet was disgusting,furniture broken/ damaged, leaking roof, walls & paint old/damaged, bathroom was of a dirty old gas station. Will never stay there again & will tell anyone to avoid.

area of bathroom floor needs to be retiled and most important are the molds on the ceiling by the walls and other places needs to be removed and then repainted....molds are health hazard especially if you have allergy which my son and I have allergy to... I only noticed the molds on the 2nd and last day of stay.
