We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room smelled of old cigarettes, and aged grim. Their idea of updating was to spray paint over everything, (including door hardware, locks, baseboards, heaters, etc.) and install vinyl flooring throughout the room, without repairing the floor below. Glad I called to confirm my room, was told that I had to go to another hotel to pickup my room key. No staff at location, lobby is locked, breakfast is 2 hotels down the block.
Location near Tesla Supercharger. Price.

It was basically non staffed. We checked in at the hotel next door, Clarion. We did not see one staff member for our entire 3 day stay. It was a deep dirty in some areas, due to being old and needing replaced including the neglected old coffee pot. The hotel was going thru a couple single room renovations but the entire property looked neglected in upkeep
Great location. Maids had it cleaned pretty good and displayed articles were thought out.

Paid extra for hot tub room and lake front room. The drain wouldn't stay shut so couldn't use tub and the over crowded parking lot behind hotel didn't make for lake front. A four day stay with out maid service was not convenient.

The last day the one and only light in the toilet/ shower area went out. I called the front desk for help, letting them know we could take a shower or use the toilet and shut the door because of the light being out. Upon our departure time, the light still was not fixed ☹️

High price for not getting a breakfast, misconceived on breakfast, there were only muffins, walls were paper thin and could here talking and a dog barking late at night

Fan in bathroom was extremely noisy. No fitted sheets on beds. Large and multiple stains on carpet. We thought there was more to "breakfast" than a packaged muffin and coffee.

Parts of the room were dirty and had to call for service, the hot water was turned off in the sink and had to call for service.
The view was nice. Bed were comfortable. Staff was pleasant and prompt.

There's 6 cigarettes butt left on our balcony and the room smells like someone had been smoking weed. I went to Family Dollar and purchased a lavender lysol to sprayed the room. I also had to picked up the cigarettes butt so I can sit outside and enjoy the view without worrying about my dog might chew on the cigarettes butt

They're advertising as FREE BREAKFAST, but very disappointed. "Breakfast" consisted of only coffee and a bowl of muffins; even no grab-&-go items; no fruit, no yogurt; no hardboiled eggs, NONE!

They charged me extra for the sofa bed when I clearly already booked for 5 people. They should not put false postings where it says room for 5 and then they charge us extra for the sofa bed. Also, please mention if it to gpo breakfast, because it was just packaged muffin and brewed coffee.

The breakfast was embarrassingly bad... it should not be described as a breakfast. In most hotels, it would be described as a complimentary muffin. The muffins are inedible. There is really nothing that meets the expectations of a "breakfast"... and since we were walking across the Mackinac Bridge in the morning, we were actually counting on having something to eat before we left the hotel. It was a major disappointment (especially considering the outrageous price for the room on this particular weekend).

Breakfast grab and go with small muffin and coffee. Room carpet old and dark in color, TV not working, room telephone was not working.
Location is good, right beside ferry to Mackinaw Island. Internet is not bad can watch YouTube.

Rooms need updating, recommend sheers for windows to allow sunlight in and provide privacy. Bathroom in poor state, old mirrors, countertop should be replaced.
Prices were good, good proximity to ferry service and downtown. Staff very friendly helpful. Beds comfortable, lots of pillows.

The large tube light was out above the bathroom sink, broken alarm clock, no TV channels came through at all, no handrail to help get out of the tub, shower head wouldn't work at all. Maintenance is due on this room before it's rented out again!!!
A muffin and a cup of coffee is not really breakfast.
