Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The images on the advertisement are deceptive. I thought we had a suite with a sitting room. But it was just the beds - which were really what we needed - and they were comfortable

The important things in the room weren’t cleaned. The Tub had hair & dirt in it & the bathroom sink had dried toothpaste.
I appreciate the Dew Duck Inn for it’s contactless check in & out. Also their quick reply to make your stay as easy as possible.

Bathroom door swung almost shut on its own, but would not latch unless you lifted it up using the knob while you closed it - one of our party never could quite get it. Because of location, there is some highway noise and train noise, but not unreasonable. One of the wall light fixtures could only be accessed by getting up on bed. Window unit for A/C was noisy, but it was a bit cold so we used stand alone floor heater. Gaps under/around exterior door (weatherstripping needs replacing). Because of the small maintenance issues and age of the property, it should be at least 10% - 20% less than we paid (for comparison, we are staying at a brand new property in Spokane with a large (suite) room, breakfast and in impeccable condition for the same price).
Quaint property with two beds, desk, fridge, microwave and TV. There was a wall-mounted coat rack with a decent number of hangers. Bathroom had large dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Night stands had outlets and USB ports. We were sent keypad code prior to check in. Had no interaction with any staff (which was fine). Property just off highway, easy to find and lots of parking.

When I left, I cleaned out the room and went to throw garbage in the dumpster and some woman cursed me out like a maniac! I’m hoping she wasn’t staff. I asked for her name, but she walked away after I told her I was staying there.
It was quaint, good location for my needs. Basic and clean.

The Huckleberry Dessert place across the street was closed. I was really looking forward to huckleberry desserts.
The outside is off-putting, but the inside was efficient. It was adequate and inexpensive, and close enough to Glacier National Park that getting any place for a reasonable cost was a joy.

Not having someone on site when checking in. Having to call someone in another state to get help with the dish tv.

Not real handy the way they have things set up. No one there in the office. People while we were staying there, were sitting in parking lot calling trying to make a reservation and not able to get through to anyone on the phone. That set-up is VERY POOR! Very confusing to people. Should have someone in the office at least during the day. Never have seen this before!!! The entry ways to each room were filthy. Mats need to be picked up and swept under at least. We sat on the benches outside and they look like they are 100 years old. Needs more TLC. Little things make a big difference. Bed was VERY comfy!! Loved the cute retro refrigerator!

It's very quiet and homely. They also accommodated our dog with open arms. They were extremely friendly. My dog muddied up the place and they were very kind about it.

No, staff on hand. I was nervous about the pass code but it worked fine. What do you do if it doesn't. NO one to talk to.
