Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Bed was a little lumpy, but it was ok. We arrived at midnight and there were people out on the deck doing drugs until 3:30 AM. it was a little scarry.
close to the event we were attending. fridge and microwave was very helpful. had issues with TV, but extra nice staff member helped us and got new batteries for the remote.

It's not the establishments fault, I was disturbed at 2:00 AM-2:45 by loud voices up and down the stairs. There were a few other noise issues but that was the real one that bothered me.
They don't have food . Location was excellent which I knew when I booked the room.

The only complaint I have is that after 3 days the carpet did develope a cat pee smell in a certain area and the last night the carpet just stunk in general. I know the place allows pets so I understand but they definitely need a good steam cleaning or maybe switch to flooring vs. Carpet. Otherwise everything was great.
I liked the clean linen, stocked bathroom and kitchen and ceiling fan.

Quiet hours need to be enforced!!! 11-6 or 12-5? We had some guy right outside our door talking extremely loud, slamming his car doors repeatedly and walking around till about 4am. Terrible!! Minor but would be nice, extra pillows, side tables for both sides of the bed, coffee in room and a clock in the room.
Good location. Off the beaten path but not too far from Main Street attractions. Also, allowed to us to stay parked even after checked out. Convince stores nice add. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable . Adequate essentials provided for stay.

Noisy neighbours. Smoke from other clients entered room even with windows and door closed, very disappointed. Would have prefered a full size fridge.
Location was good. Bed comfortable. Nice service. Kid enjoyed the pool.

I didn't like to smell Marijuana next to my room, they should be places designated for that I think that we paid a lot of money per night for what we had : the double rooms were small with almost not storage at all and we were 4, the shower had black stains.
People that work there were very nice and respectful with us and the fact that the owner allowed us to have a late check out, it helped us a lot.

There wasn't much privacy, and it was really noisy at night. We will request a cottage next time.
Location was perfect. The beds were comfortable. The other guests were pretty noisy, not that the Inn has any control over that. We would definitely stay at one of their properties again.

The price was very good for the area and the season. It was a basic room with a kitchenette - it was clean and the beds were comfortable, nice shower too. This is not a $500+ a night hotel room, but that isn't was we needed - we needed a place close to the beach that was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. We walked to the beach from the motel. It is near a pizza place too! For the price, it was a good deal.

No coffee, only coffee pot and filters. Room was very musty. Coffee cups not washed out from previous occupants. No extra blankets. Minor details.
Good shower water pressure. Pool nice and clean. Smoking area outside was user friendly. Good value. Staff was super friendly. Book with them directly for a better rate. We will be back.

There was a major soft spot in the bathroom floor near the toilet and room could have been cleaner… there was a dirty sock left next to the bed. the corners and baseboards were dusty and dirty.
