The garage was pretty dirty and smelled of natural gas. The furniture in our room was stained/soiled. A few of the drawers on the dresser wouldn't close so we had to butt our luggage against it to keep it from sliding out. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was way too far away.

Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The bartender in the bar/restaurant was great! The flexibility to allow early check-in was nice. The lobby was beautiful and everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable!

Was not told at booking or check in that pool and hot tub heaters were broken down. I picked the property for it's advertised amenities and did not get the value for my money that I expected/was promised at time of booking. Eventually, a Manger offered me a free breakfast, but it was after I had already checked out, so they actually offered me nothing.

The staff told us about where to find the restaurant and breakfast but at check in there is so much going on it is hard to remember everything they said. I would be nice to have some information in the room about services.

Gray fuzz came out of the tub jets. The tub was 100% of reason for my room choice & I used it for 10 minutes before I saw the fuzz. When I arrived, 2 staff were at the desk and I stood there without being acknowledged. When I asked if I was supposed to check in with my phone, both staff said "I thought they (the other person) were helping you. Right at $300 for my 1 night stay and definitely not worth it.

My only complaint is that the water in the hot tub was really low. It was at my elbows. The rest of the pool was great. The pool water is the perfect temperature and the pool deck is covered in traction strips to make up for the slick surface. I just wish the hot tub had been a normal depth. I don't know if that's the hotel's fault or if kids were doing cannonballs into the hot tub.

I loved the location. We toured the penitentiary and the capitol, so we were well located for everything, as well as Prison Brews and High Rise Bakery.

Room was downgraded due to a previous guest making the room we were supposed to have unusable. That in itself was fine, but being charged the same price for our downgraded room was not. Tried to reach the hotel via a message (desk was busy all in-person times) and had no response. Because desk was busy, at check in we were not offered the cookies or water, and we had nothing about the hotel explained to us: how to get to our room, how to use the elevator key, when breakfast was, where the facilities were... nothing. We had to figure it out for ourselves and it was our first stay there. Specks of something in the ice machine. Ew. And while I appreciated the nice hot bath, weirdly enough we couldn't get any cold water from the bathroom tap. Interactins with the housekeeping staff was nice and polite, and was happy to get some emergency toothbrushes and toothpaste since we forgot ours.

Not something that could be helped but the entrance to the room was a little tight. It's a round hotel so...

We had a little "hiccup" with our room upon check in but it was handled quickly and professionally. Enjoyed interactions with the staff, always courteous and polite. Definitely will stay here again.

The bathroom sink drain in our first room was clogged. Maintenance came and snaked it which improved but did not completely remedy the problem. We could not get the shower to deliver water that was below scalding. Maintenance said they fixed it but the next day it was still too hot to stand under. We changed rooms. There's actually no true cold water at all in this building. The "cold" water comes out warm. But we were finally able to take a reasonable shower on our second day. The vinyl floors are not clean. After walking around barefoot in the rooms, our feet left black streaks in the shower. The last straw was the badly stained flat sheet we discovered when we went to bed in the second room. There were two beds, so I pulled sheets off the other one and remade the bed. Since I booked through Booking.com, the desk couldn't give me any compensation for the inconvenience even though I'm a HH member.

The fitness facility was excellent.
