Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe rented a van that was too tall to fit in the parking garage. We spent extra money to park in a public parking lot.

CanadaThe kitchen lacked several essential utensils. For example, there was no glove for handling hot items in the oven, insufficient glasses. The couch was uncomfortable.

CanadaThe hot water in condo is horrible. It takes running it at full hot for at least 30 minutes for any hot water to come. Even after 30 minutes or more the water isn't very hot. This really wasted a lot of water and wasted quite a bit of our time waiting for hot water.
Great location. Central to everything and a good cost when compared to hotels.

United States of AmericaIts location downtown was less touristy but its proximity to the notorios Hotel Street had a seedy side. The single unit was renovated but not the 2 bedroom. The second bedroom was more like a closet. I didn’t realize there was no balcony and the windows don’t open so we had to rely on the AC so no fresh air in beautiful tropical Hawaii!

United States of AmericaWe didn't like having to drive up 10 floors to park. The washing machine leaked, so was unusable. The owners did tell us that machines were available on the 3rd floor. There was no dishwashing machine detergent and minimal cooking utensils. The shower clogged on the second day and we had to unclog it ourselves. There were nightly visits of cockroaches on the kitchen counter. But, it's Hawaii and they are residents. There were no cooking staples in the kitchen... some places supply it and some don't. Just an fyi. Oh, the garage card access didn't always work quickly and required numerous passes. I think you need a new access card. The bedroom needs a dresser to put clothes in... only closet available is small. There was no hand towel for the kitchen... not sure if there were oven mitts, as we didn't use the oven. The light over the stove is also out, and the first light in the livingroom strobes and flickers.
I liked that a number of amenities were nearby, like the UPS store and post office and some restaurants. The condo was clean and looked very modern. The condo was quite huge and had a great view and sun was not blaring into it. The pool and hot tub were great. Parking was included. Ample supply of shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper. The kitchen was a good size and very modern. The clothes steamer was handy! One other important point: we realized that the key fob supplied allowed us to get into the building without going up and down the elevators. The doors to the left of the elevators in the parking garage are opened via the key fob. Once that's used, you can go directly to your floor and the room! It was a game changer! I noticed a number of reviews complaining about going up and down elevators, which we did until we realized the quick access.

United States of AmericaThe apartment is small for 5 people. Tricky to park and get in and out of the garage (you need to take different elevators, change buildings, go up several floors...).
Good location. Laundry room in the building.

New ZealandThe walls and the curtains in the apartment could have done with a clean. However you get what you pay for being on the cheaper side of accommodation and travelling as a family. Could quite easily charge more if they refreshed the condo.
My children loved the pool! I was grateful for the parking. So good having a kitchen so could go grocery shopping. Great having a laundry room. Also the fact that there was a Ross dress for less, 7-11, Starbucks, McDonald’s, subway and so many other easy to access places right downstairs. Wifi was also a bonus

New ZealandCleaning fee unexpected add-on. Lack of town roadside parks for retrieving garage card & 2 fobs for apartment. Bit of an exercise using car, city living I suppose. Some amenities worn, fragile ie plug sockets. Unsure if ablutions can withstand the usage of 5 adults.
Comfortable main beds. Good full kitchen so we could make own b/f, lunch & the odd dinner. City view out of main bedroom. Had necessities.

AustraliaThere needs to be somewhere for clients to store their bags if they get there early from flights or ships as the hotel will not allow it if your not booked deduct through them! It’s extremely hard to cart bags on and off public transport whilst waiting to check in at 3pm
The location was great being central to everything. I bit noisy as it is downtown but that is like all cities. Only thing to suggest would be maybe a booklet or something outlining what is required when leaving the unit! Towels, beds etc.

United States of AmericaA little bit more on cleanliness. Lot's of homeless people in the area, one even peed in the front of the building while we are going out. Getting in and out of parking lot. You need to drive up to 10th floor, then take elevator down to 3rd floor and walk a little bit to ride another elevator to take you to the unit, parking space is a plus.
Plenty of space/surrounding views. Near everything stores, airport, beaches and attractions.

AustraliaThe reception desk were not interested in assisting us in any way because we were not in the hotel part of the complex. It was very dissappointing and unwelcoming considering we were overseas tourists. The entire apartment was quite small (in our opinion) but this may be the standard in central Honolulu. It was clearly a well used and older apartment; it will be much improved with a refurbishment and a coat of paint.
Centrally located with a spectacular mountain view from the Master Bedroom. It had all the amenities we needed and everything worked. Clean. Parking was very convenient and well organised. Pricing was relatively good value as Honolulu is quite expensive.

United States of AmericaParking is challenging even though it's free. The assigned spot is next to a disabled vehicle that parked too close to the only assigned space for us. Access to and from parking lot to the condo unit is quite convoluted requiring multiple elevator change between different floor, especially challenging for those traveling with mobility issue (I have my mother in law with us that needed to use mobility scooter). I ended up parking on designated handicapped spaces most of the time since we have the disability placard. The floor arrangement is a bit weird where there are commercial units for realtor office, therapist, and engineering firm, next to random residential units. Security staff wasn't the friendliest when requesting elevator access from street level to lobby. The floor where unit is located also have unpleasant musky wet smell even though the unit we were staying was properly clean and odorless. Also downtown area can be intimidating for those who aren't use dealing with homeless population. It feels like downtown Los Angeles when dealing with the homeless people, the street noises from busses and traffic can be heard all the way up in the unit on 17th floor.
Decent downtown view, prompt and responsive host. Nice and clean condo unit, comfy master bed with good view.
