A perfect small hotel - friendly proprietor and very convenient location for restaurants and proximity to the Greek Theater. Clean and has everything we needed for a short stay. It was also very quiet even though there were some loud college parties nearby .

The bathroom was clean, spacious and relatively newly renovated. The carpet was not disgusting, perhaps also relatively new. There were no odd smells or stains.

Only 10 insanely small parking spots that are not exclusively used by hotel guests. Our windows were awful. Being on the second floor, it didn’t feel like a critical risk but the screens were broken and dilapidated. The room was very hot. The AC was barely able to cool the room, but did so after running several hours. Neither the water pressure nor the hot water were strong.

This is the worst place, I have ever been. There is a stong scent in the room and the carpet was dirty and during my stay nobody cleans the room.

The owner is very friendly. She was helpful and let me park my car also after I had checked out.

When considering the cost and ignoring anything else, the stay was relatively cheap when compared to other prices I saw when making the order (but it is much preferable to spend a bit more and get something better). The proximity to Berkeley is good, though the location is highly problematic.

Everything: when arriving, I got two key cards: both didn't work. Then, I got working cards, and when getting to the room, the AC did not work, and one of the windows was broken. The staff person was helpful, but at first claimed that the AC does work and it's just that I picked the wrong settings (I literally went through every combination of settings possible). After some attempts, the staff person also realized that the AC does not work. A big hint was also that the room had a fan, in addition to the AC. Then, I was moved to a different room that did have a working AC (and, not fan - because the AC works). The room was in bad condition: drawers had broken knobs, and it could be cleaner. The worst thing about the room is that at night, unhoused people make a lot of noise right outside the window. While I normally sleep extremely hard, I slept remarkably terrible at my stay. Also, I could not get ANY work done using both of the property's WiFis. I had to use my phone as a hotspot.

the location and that it was quiet

What a tiny room and what old carpet! The lamp and furniture were nicked, scraped, damaged and old. The curtains were ancient and the lining was peeling. There was a hint of a musty smell in the room.

Nice staff, good location, free parking, good value

The bed linens had a slight smell that made me wonder if they had been laundered or what?

Sudha, the desk person, was beyond nice and accommodating.

Would have been nice if windows could open. All window cranks were broken.

The location is very good, we took bart there only took 5 mins. The bed is quite big and the staff was very nice, we arrived lately but she also helped us check in.

The wifi is a little bit weak.
