We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe only downside is, and this is usually a common thing with inns, is the walls are thin. Had a guy 2 rooms down gagging all night, but I wouldn’t blame the inn, it’s just either people gagging all night, or inconsiderate people, all luck of the draw.
Ignore all the reviews. It’s an inn that’s very clean, beds are very comfortable (softer side, not firm), and it’s a perfect location from downtown rochester, that’s really all you need.

United StatesThe person who answered the phone before the front desk opened was extremely rude, obtuse and not understanding or caring at all. If it wasn’t for Linda (see above), this place would have gotten a bad review regardless of the room or location.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was beyond helpful. We had a second floor guest room which wasn’t good for me and she helped me up and down the stairs. Her name is Linda.

United StatesThe only thing that I did not like, that I would recommend to improve your hotel, would be a full-length mirror. Or even a large mirror on the wall to reflect the upper part of the body. The only mirror in the room was the small one above the bathroom sink. I was in Rochester for a dress-up event and that is why I noticed the absence of a large mirror.
I did not have breakfast, and I did not know that it was offered.

United Statesthere is no on-site staff on sundays so when we needed something like toilet paper there was no one around to help and get what you need until the next day. also the air conditioner in the room was incredibly loud, even on the lowest fan setting which was a bit annoying when we wanted to watch tv and could barely hear it, and when we wanted to sleep we had to choose between turning it off and being hot or just leaving it on low and getting used to the noise so we could sleep with it on.
fantastic walkable location right on the edge of downtown rochester, king bed was big and comfortable, whole room was very clean and modern and the staff was friendly.

United States1) no comfortable chair to relax in. Only 2 straight backed chairs at the table. 2) no place to but my toiletries in the bathroom as there is no counter area. 3) nice modern looking fireplace but no way to turn it on. 4) bright all night lights outside my room and the curtains were not enough to block it out at night. 5) no elevator and my room was on the second level so I had to lug my stuff up the open stairwell. I also have balance issues so was very nervous coming down the stairs alone.
The rooms have been very nicely updated. The bed was comfortable
