Absolutely disgusting. This hotel was hands down the dirtiest place I have ever stepped foot in. The baseboards were covered in filth, the walls were stained, and the floors were so sticky and dirty I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. The room reeked of a musty, mildew-like smell, and to top it off, the sheets had bugs in them. The door didn’t seal properly, making it feel unsafe—especially with the constant foot traffic outside in the parking lot. The area itself was sketchy, and I even spotted a used needle near the entrance. The outdated TV was the least of my concerns, but it only added to the overall neglected feel of the place. I couldn’t bring myself to stay the night. Instead, I cut my losses and found a much cleaner, safer hotel down the road. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

I was harressed by management due to having visitors.. then to top things off September 19, 2024. Management charged me 80 dollars instead of the 70, he charged me 80 due to me having visitors then not even 2 hours of paying him 80 dollars, he told me I had to leave and refused to refund any of my money.. Who ever heard of any hotel or motel not allowing you to have visitors or any company . I have called Better Business Bureau and reported The Blue Star Inn, for kicking me out after collecting more money from me and refusing to refund my money.

I found out later that the place is known for prostitution and drug deals. I was broached twice about prostitution and once for drugs. I actually called the local police and found this out from them. I was dumbfounded as I never had this happen to me. The internet did not work for most of the first day I was there. Once it was fixed it worked perfectly. One of the owners is extremely unprofessional. The others are nice.

I think the room was in pretty good condition. It actually was truly a non smoking room.

The hotel is hard to locate the first time you go there but is worth the trouble.

Owned and run by family living there. Tucked away just off the I-10 but all traffic noise is blocked. Rooms are clean and well maintained.

The hotel and staff were horrible. Everything was dirty,staff were not social nor seemed to care for the hotel or its clients. The staff was behind a glass in a room, could not enter the lobby,no amenities like coffee or anything like that was available to clients . The floor was dirty. The walls were stained and cigarette burns everywhere, chewed up furniture, like there was a dog living in the room and chewing on the edge of the furniture .The sheets and pillows were all stained, cigarette burns everywhere,flies all over the room, pubic hairs everywhere in the bathroom and hand sink, did not have towels and when the host finally brought some to me ,they were stained and full of long black hairs,I dried myself with my clean under shirt from my travel clothing. I had to walk to the front to get the host to bring me towels because there was no phone to call the front desk, I'd rather use my clean under shirt to dry off after my shower than go talk to him and wait all over again to only get more stained towels. The AC kept turning off after about an hour of being on, by that time it was midnight and was not going to go through the hassle of getting another room because I had to get back on the road at 5 am,so I just dealt with the AC barely cooling the room. I paid for a non smoking room and that room seemed to be a smoking room,smelled horrible. No TV remote,no shampoo,no lotions,,it was a bad experience all around. I honestly want my money back !
