How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The elevator sounds like it's about to break. The whole entire place needs an upgrade. The floors has cracks and looks dirty in the rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast, better off going to McDonald's. Linen had rust spots and was scared to wash with washcloths and towels. You could literally hear through the walls from other rooms. The review was not exactly what was described in description. It was totally disappointing and not worth the money spent booking.

Verified reviewI liked the location. It was close to the Tanger Outlets, plenty of places to eat nearby and close to where I was working.
The bed was AWFUL! It was like a ROCK!! My back hurt so bad today after sleeping on it. I was in room 214, the fan in the bathroom didn’t have a cover so if you aren’t paying attention and lift your arms up as you’re drying off from a shower you could accidentally reach up and cut yourself on that! Wow!

Checked in at almost midnight exhausted from a 12 hr drive, check in was easy but the room & whole first floor smelled like mold & mildew, slept then noticed that the bottom of the walls in the whole room but especially in the bathroom was all moldy like there was a flood at some point. Was moved to a room on the 2nd floor, alot better but all that mold and mildew is NOT good. Could still smell it on the 2nd floor

Floors were not all put down, electrical outlets was sticking out of the wall the elevator did not have a certificate in it , elevator floor was eat up, manager at check out wanted to know why I do not tell them about the condition of the property the night before told him we got in late we did not walk around the room and inspect it, did not think that we should have too. Manager seemed like he wants everyone to do his job for him pretty sad ,, and very lazy , will never use comfort inn and suites again last two were in terrible condition, please never offer me a stay at there facility

The elevator sounded like it was going to break. The smell in the hallway of the 2nd floor and my room 227 was terrible. The tv was broken. The breakfast was very mid. Price was too high for this stay.

Pool discounting. The shower 🚿 does not work at the pool. Plus, it was a red car 🚘 with a tent right on front to the pool. I notify the owner twice since we are leaving at 4am. The ac in the room is automatically on 60 but the room was warm to the point we have to get our own fan until midnight start getting better. Bed were no clean and not comfortable, pillows were small. Floor in the room was dirty. Garbage cans at the enter of the hotel and at the pool were fully of trash. Pool floor was discounting and it was some vomiting 🤢 at the corner of the pool.

Verified reviewThis hotel needs alot of work, Smells of mildew! You can definitely tell there was a flood that wasn’t handled the correct way! The lamp shades had stains from bugs, the floors were scratched and not cleaned with dirty shoe marks all over. Asked for a room change it was granted but wasn’t any better! At that point I realized it was definitely the entire hotel. I only had to stay one night until I could check into my other hotel on the beach! The price I paid was UNACCEPTABLE! Also the pictures listed ARE not the same as the hotel rooms!

Strong disinfectant (I guess) smell in room. Maybe the room had a pet in it before and the hotel used strong chemicals to mask the smell. Also, ran out of coffee before the end of the breakfast time during one day of my visit.
