Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not anything the hotel has any control over - like the maze of service/frontage roads and construction!
Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. Convenient location. Wifi worked well. Comfortable bed. Coffee maker with carafe.

The advertisement on booking said there was a breakfast as part of the visit. We were not told about it, and so did not eat there. We also kind of slept in, so definitely not upset, just surprised it was not communicated to us.
Location was right in the middle of Beaumont, TX- near our destination (we came to see a play at SE TX Stages). We were close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. The room was basic, but very clean and fit our needs. Perfect for a short stay. We did not experience any noise issues from other tenants (which can happen at hotels) and the staff were accommodating and happy. No issues and it was a great price.

There was nothing not to like. A very light sleeper might be kept up by the freeway noise, but it was more than light enough for us. We both slept very well.

There was a truck who played his music extremely loud in the parking lot, in the morning. He came & went a few times with his speakers booming . Just very annoying. I doubt management could have done much. Seemed like the type that would have only turned ten up louder if ya complained.

Bed was hard as a rock. All around the base boards were dead insects. Obviously they don't vacuum or sweep around them. I know when check out was didn't need a reminder call. But didn't get everything packed in car until after 11am. Manager was very close standing by the door.

Lamps on the night stands. Better quality towels.
I had asked for a room on the non street side. They agreed but did not accommodate. When asked to change rooms they would not accommodate.

The staff was rude, worried about if I was the only guest staying. Asked for more pillows, he questioned what I was doing & why I asked for more pillows. Bathroom was dirty. Tub was dirty. Comforter sheet looked old & used. Had a weird smell walking into the room. Fridges need to be updated. Food spoiled while I was there for only one night. Felt uncomfortable coming in and out. Would NOT stay at this location again.
Liked the fact that there was food nearby. Sheets were exceptionally clean.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
Convenient location, bedding was clean, comfortable and smelled nice, water was as hot as I wanted it to be. But the best part is the people in the office. Very friendly and accommodating. My second stay here and I will stay again.

The bed was a little hard, and we needed a couple of extra pillows.
Great place, great location and Harry, the fellow at the desk was really pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. He even gave us a couple of extra pillows upon request. Great employee for sure!
