Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The lifts are very slow, could almost do with the service lift becoming a third customer lift.
Great place, would happily stay there again. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants.

Nothing - would definitely stay again! Our family of 5 loved Hawai’i and our stay at the Embassy Suites
Cleanliness, great location to shops and restaurants and the beach! The pool was great too. The laundry room was so handy - easy to use and always had a washer / dryer available even in peak season. Breakfast - a range of foods but the freshly made to order omelettes were amazing

The small bins in the rooms didn’t cope with our diaper load.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The food was very nice and the pool facilities were great for our young kids.

The free drink coupons are great but you can only use them during the 5:30-7:30 reception hours. It would be nice to have some afternoon hours to use the drink coupons as well.
Our room was very spacious with a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. There was plenty of drawer/cabinet space for clothing and storage during our stay. We loved that the hotel was a block away from the beach walk and we had quick access to the water.

The busyness at breakfast time. Often running out of cutlery, food and tables, and too many birds trying to steal the food.

There was not anything we disliked but if there was any negative elevators were a little slow but who cares you're on vacation and in no hurry!
The location was everything, 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants and shopping was right outside the front door. The morning breakfast was great and had a wide selection of fare. The evening reception was an add on we didn't expect!

Pillow is not very comfortable. The duvet and sheet might need to clean better. I feel something biting on me on y last night of sleep. Facility looks very old. Wall is a bit thin for a hotel. I can hear people's conversation on the hall way.
My room got upgraded. Very comfortable room. Like the cocktails and breakfast. Very friendly staffs. Location of the hotel is great. Friendly for families.

There was nothing that I did not like; therefore, I have no comments for this question!
The the location, amenities, rooms, and staff are superb! Any questions, concerns and needs were readily met with consummate professionalism. This was my first trip to Hawaii and my enjoyment and strong desire to return is in large part due to the excellent service rendered during my stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk. I will definitely book reservations here upon my return. Please also know that breakfast was a big hit with my family!

The happy hour. We couldn't avail any of the days because the lines were always so long. I don't want to waste an hour waiting in line. Open up more lines with more staff or open up the dining hall for the snacks. Breakfast should be open earlier and longer to keep the crowd from being overwhelming.
The staff was great. The front desk personnel Erik just went above and beyond to help us. He deserves a raise. Everyone that works here is always so accommodating and helpful. They also always greet you with a smile and and they're full of Aloha. The rooms are always clean and the spaces are always clean.

Elevator was secure but always busy. Often ended up just taking the stairs. Glad we were only on the 5th floor.
The breakfast was awesome! The towels for the pool and beach were a nice perk. Loved the drinks in the evenings.

Bathrooms are a little dated.
