Bathtub had some grime around the edges, maybe old grout.

We didn't get any breakfast. The room was quaint and well decorated. Bed was comfortable.

Very old property with outdated bathroom, but everything is well maintained and functional, so it's just a matter of style vs. function. Good location for the ferry if you can't stay in Port Angeles.

Well maintained and tastefully decorated room. Everything was ready for us. We arrived late (10pm) and then left early the next morning (6:30am), so were only in the room for a brief stay but everything was excellent.

The only issue we had was that the shower didn’t drain - other than that, everything was great

The water pressure for the sink was almost to none. The room was cold and took some time to heat up.

The easy check in procedure. The complementarity coffee and the rocking chair inside. Very close to the Olympic Park. Cosy feeling.

Bed a bit soft for our liking. No tv but not an issue for us.

Good location next to Granny’s cafe where we got a good take away dinner. We enjoyed the outdoor space around the property including the farm animals! Room very nicely decorated.

    Cute, comfy room!

Our only issue was that Granny's Cafe was only doing a takeout window. We specifically did not go back into Port Angeles for a sit-down breakfast because I wanted to try Granny's. I think it would be beneficial for the hotel and Granny's to put up a little banner on their websites or on the greeting paperwork in the room to say they are not open inside. We ended up getting food through the window because we didn't know if there would be any food ahead of us and we did like it, especially the iced coffee! It was just a letdown to have to eat in our room/car when we weren't expecting it. I'm not sure if it was closed because of Covid or not. Not a knock against the inn but it affected our experience just a bit!

We stopped at Emerald Valley Inn on the way to Hoh Rain Forest from Seattle. It was the perfect stopping point for us but it was a bit in the middle of nowhere - which we honestly enjoy. Because it's April, I don't think the property is as beautiful as it would be in later Spring or Summer/Fall. I can tell the property will come to life in a couple of months. The animals were very cute. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was great! The best one of our week-long trip around Washington.

We might have liked a tv in the room, though we were busy enough we didn’t miss it much. We also wished the cafe on the property has less limited hours (I’m not sure if the limited hours were because of Covid or this is their normal schedule). Neither of these things diminished our lovely stay though.

Beautiful property, very comfortable, enjoyed the farm, staff was lovely.

The walls were paper thin. If you went to bed and your neighbors were talking you could hear them. The bathroom could use some updating. There weren’t any outlets in there. I thought for the price you could expect more.

The room was sweet. The property is on the rustic side. The animals were fun to see. The room codes were a nice sense of security.

Price should have been lower due to lack of food options nearby

The lack of nearby food was the worst part. We were assured there was food offered nearby. Most were 13 miles away since the cafe was closed. We’re we not told of this until after we booked the non refundable room.

The room I was in smelled a bit of stale, I don’t mind the old/vintage style furniture, the room is cute, and you can see it was curated, but things like the carpet, bedding and bathroom could do with a little update, I felt the pictures were a bit deceiving for this.

The location is great, granny’s cafe on the property has really good food (shame is not open for breakfast!), staff is really nice, they have only a handful of rooms so they are curated, and there is a mini farm on site too. The price is reasonable compared to close-by options.

Disappointed - Basic accommodation, uncomfortable bed and thin walls
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Queen Room
    • Stayed 1 night

The bed was really uncomfortable- mattress needed replacing as dip causing to roll towards middle. Dated and really needed double glazing. Gap under connecting door and thin walls meant we could hear neighbours talking and see light on till early hours of morning. Location was more remote from amenities than I realised on booking. Cafe next door did not open for breakfast and dinner was pricey for plastic cutlery and paper plates
