Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsOur room faced the main road (Chavez Blvd) and there was quite a bit of street noise coming in, I had to use earplugs to be able to sleep. There are also rooms on a much quieter dead-end Clinton Streete. We didn’t mind, but you do have to do your own washing up after breakfast.
The Evermore Guesthouse was our first stop on our trip through the American Northwest and we found it a great place to relax and recover from our jetlag. The room was very large and, despite the heat, cool and comfortable. The house itself is beautiful and we felt right at home. The property is close (within walking distance) to a street with restaurants, some shops and a few food carts (Division Street). It’s also well accessible from the main road and we found ourselves in downtown Portland in no time at all. There was plenty of parking at the property. There are many options for breakfast and you can decide to eat at a larger dinner table (like we did), so you can strike up a conversation with fellow travelers.

United StatesThe exterior of the property could use some TLC, but it did not at all detract from my stay.
The property is every bit as nice as a large high end vintage hotel. The upgrades such as mini split AC, windows, bath and private kitchen were top quality. The rooms were large, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The pillows and linens were new, of great quality and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was stand alone and very nice. The location was surprisingly quiet given that it is next to a busy street and is set back enough with mature trees to allow for maximum privacy. The breakfast was a good combination of fresh and prepared food that was available on demand. Parking was safe, private and right next to the room.

United StatesI can't think of anything we didn't like. Maybe more gluten free options for breakfast.
This inn is truly lovely. The room was a nice size. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was good and the shower water pressure strong. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with everything you need to cook with. There is a continental breakfast you can have at any time. The inn itself is beautiful with two nice communal sitting rooms and a dining room. Lovely vibe among the guests when you happen to meet in the kitchen. Highly recommend. Also good parking.

United StatesThere was nothing I didn't like. I'll be back.
Evermore is an early 20th century style house that has been very well maintained. The common room downstairs is lovely with several stained-glass windows. My room had a large bed, a sitting room, private bathroom with a clawfoot tub, and a balcony. There is a refrigerator in the room, while the microwave, coffee maker, and breakfast goodies are all downstairs and available 24 hours. There's no television. I always have my tablet with me, so no problem and there are plenty of outlets. The room was surprisingly quiet too. I hardly ever heard the other guests. Parking was amazing. It's off the street behind the house, accessible by both streets.

United StatesNothing.
Excellent location near many shops/restaurants/activities. Evermore is a gorgeous old house that has been converted to a guesthouse, - if you like 'boutique' stays, you'll love it. The onsite parking is a huge plus, and access is amazingly simple - you'll receive an entry code before arriving, then simply enter and go to your (lovely) room where you'll find a guide with instructions/information for your stay. Guests have full run of the house, so it's very similar to an 'entire property' Airbnb rental. The breakfast is self-service, so no need to get up early to make a certain timeframe or lose it. Rooms are spacious; the one I stayed in had a desk area, sofa area, an outdoor seating porch, and a large ensuite bathroom with a clawfoot tub. The owner/managers are onsite in an office room, but other than chatting about the house, I didn't feel any need for assistance. All in all, it felt a lot like having a spare home in another city - just show up and stay. And the rates are great - I compared with a newer self-serve hotel stay (the Kenton), and for the same price The Evermore had so much more.

Natalie, our host, was lovely. The room was spacious and well-equipped. Self-serve breakfast was very good, better than the terrible breakfast buffets that so many chain hotels serve. Walking distance to Division, which has wonderful restaurants, shops, and bars. Fantastic value!

United StatesI am a light sleeper. I could hear some traffic on Cesar Chavez in the night.
The house is stunning. The room was very comfortable. The “kitchen” was open 24/7 for snacking or an early breakfast. My husband and I walked the neighborhood and discovered a community garden, a place to have a draft beer, and a busy street with restaurants and shopping. (We did not eat or shop but the location of the home is good).
