Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not a big selection at breakfast
It was near the caverns, the pool was nice and lots of sunbeds. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable.

The bathroom hand wash bar soap. Hate those. Also had little drain gnats in the bathroom.
Comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast (waffles!) was pretty good, high pressure shower, free water in the gym.

Outdoor pool unavailable and elevator was not working for one of the days we stayed there.
Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. On-site laundry was appreciated. Location is perfect for going to visit Carlsbad Caverns.

They had laundry-very nice, but no change for machines we ran around town trying to get quarters!
The staff was friendly and courteous. Even gave us a card when they learned it was our anniversary.

Fan in bathroom was running, but bathroom was steamed up in 60 seconds each time anyone showered. Toilet ran often and was strangely hard to flush. We loved breakfast the first two days and really appreciated the variety of choices and there being healthy options as well. On our third morning, we arrived to the breakfast area at 9am to find that most items were not out/hadn’t been restocked. As breakfast was available until 9:30am, it seems that the area should be fully stocked for all guests, not just the early risers. Also, the tea selection was not restocked any day, and I was lucky to get Lipton.
Staff we interacted with were all great. Space was good. We needed the laundry room and found it easy to use (dryers were exceptionally hot on the medium setting.) Enjoyed that we could watch Netflix on our tv. Easy drive to Carlsbad Caverns!

We accidentally left a necklace and called that afternoon. The room was not occupied by another person… they went in and checked and found nothing. The manager was supposed to call us back never received that call.

Small exposed metal tab on bed next to exterior wall stuck out enough to break skin and caused a decent cut to an ankle during the stay. Also a small sticky substance was left on the endtable between the beds.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice hot showers with good water flow. Beds very soft and comfortable. Air Conditioning works great in spite of the heat.

Making a left out of the parking lot was dicey. The Walmart directly next door was both a good and a bad thing.
They had a waffle maker and laundry. At this stage of our trip the laundry room was great. It was also on the edge of town closest to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Nation Parks.

The tile in the bathroom floor was loose in most of the center of the bathroom. I wasn’t injured or anything but that could occur as the grout becomes more and more destroyed.
Everything was fine with the property with one exception.

There was not enough kitchen staff to handle the breakfast Buffet for the amount of guests. Kept running out of coffee.
The hotel was clean throughout.
