How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

I am a Wyndham rewards Platinum member yet their hotels do not honor what they advertise of a early check in late checkout option for platinum/diamond members, and they hold the incidental security deposits and are trained to blame that on the banks, which my bank clarified and also showed me via account ledger it is the hotel not closing the batch, on the deposits, but they do close the batch on payment for the room, which seems confusing. If they can close the batch on room charge the deposit should close at the same time, since they can take money directly off your card at time of check in. This is common with Wyndham hotels specifically.

Horrible pillows

Remodeling, age of room.. spots on carpet, mold in bathroom. No housekeeping.

Housekeeping was scheduled to service your room on August 1; however, the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed on the door, preventing entry. Our housekeeping team ensures that rooms are thoroughly cleaned, linens and towels are replaced when requested or as needed, and all guest areas are maintained to high standards. As part of the ongoing renovations, the rooms are being updated with new furniture and improvements to address issues such as carpet spots and bathroom maintenance. Verified reviewIt was under major construction. Looked like it was closed when we drove up! Air conditioning had to be turned off on a very warm night because it squealed everytime it kicked in. Asked management to call once someone was in ( we left early am to catch a flight). Noone ever called.

This hotel is under major construction and we were not notified of this. The whole front half of the building is gone, construction workers blaring music at 8am, the lobby looks like trash, no AC, breakfast was nasty, the staff was rude, and God forbid you raise a complaint because they won’t be able to help you. “Email the general manager, she will help!” Lies. She didn’t do anything. The sheets were stayed the bath room was nasty, tiles broken, stains everywhere where. 0 stars. Do not recommend.
Thank you for the feedback. After thoroughly investigating the concerns, we can confirm that several key aspects of the experience were addressed at the time of the stay. The front desk associate who made the reservation did, in fact, inform the guest that the hotel was undergoing renovations, including exterior work. This information was clearly communicated during the initial phone call and is documented accordingly. During the stay, when cleanliness concerns were brought to the attention of the overnight front desk associate, those concerns were documented and a room change was offered. That offer was declined, and an agreement was made to provide fresh sheets instead, which were delivered. All of this was properly notated by the team. Regarding the claim that the General Manager was contacted and did not respond, we have confirmed directly with her that no communication was received. Had a message reached her, she would have responded, as she does with all guest concerns brought to her attention. We understand that renovations may cause inconvenience, but we are actively working to improve the property for the benefit of all future guests. No room service even after multiple daily request. No trash removal, nothing. We were told multiple times someone would be right up. Finally got frustrated and just started putting trash bags and used towels in hallway. Construction everywhere. Entire exterior of hotel was torn off revealing severe water damage. My wife and daughter struggled with allergy and respiratory problems from day one. This was a nightmare and we left two days early and were denied any refund. Now we are getting no support from booking.com It's bad enough we paid for this disaster but then to leave erly and not be refunded the two days is a kick in the face.

Verified reviewBreakfast was poor. Eggs overly salty (general consensus around the breakfast room, potatoes were almost inedible (both items improved on third day of stay). Pancake maker interesting but waffles might have been a better option. Shower/tub very moldy. Brown mold running length of tub grout where tub meets the wall. Was remedied promptly when front desk notified. No business center (needed to print out boarding passes etc. - a pc/laptop with attached printer internet connected is all that's needed.

The walls/ceilings are not soundproof. Though no one was making any excessive noise, you could hear every step anyone made above us or in the hall.
