Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Shower door didn't close well, so lots of water on the floor---we had to use most of the towels to mop up water. However, this was very promptly addressed by staff when we mentioned it.
Very clean, very friendly staff, very comfortable bed, good breakfast. Really good overall, very satisfied with our stay.

The staff was okay until the morning lady that do breakfast. Reached over between me and my child and swept our feet while getting breakfast. Very rude I expressed to the front desk staff. Rather anything was done or not I don’t know.

The refrigerator was loose and fell on my foot when I tried to open it. I wasn't told that I would have to request cleaning service. The message in the bathroom about towels made me think someone would clean/replace used tissue contIner, etc... ame in late and didn't want to ha e someone come I to room. Not thrilled with stay.
Breakfast was ok, coffee was weak.

The property is a bit dated but they did a nice refresh on it.
Great breakfast and hotel was surprisingly quiet. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed a great nights sleep!

There was a disconnect between the hotel and booking.com. My booking wasn't reflecting when I arrived at the hotel. The hotel couldn't find it. And i booked 2 weeks before. So, what would have happened if the hotel was packed full? That was my only disappointment.
Staff were ready to help. I have stayed here before and will continue to do so whenever I am in Kalamazoo.

I noticed the batter was sticking to the lid of the waffle machine for those using it.

the shower doors were not in their track and required me to reengage them so that I could use the shower. also the shower needed a good cleaning given signs of mould in the corners.
breakfast buffet is ideal. the location is also ideal and easy to find right off the interstate. rooms are a good size with updated bathrooms.

pool was closed. my room was half cleaned we found trash in almost every corner of the room and some hair on the bathroom wall. fingerprints on the microwave and the fridge was gross to the touch. the room could have been vacuumed better around the perimeter of the room. carpet was gross to the touch also so I wore my shoes the whole time. I would have asked for another but I was scared the next room would be worse. my wife and I were there celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and they put us in a room right next to a family with a bunch of screaming kids. They were still screaming when we finally went to sleep around 2 AM. There’s no restaurants within walking distance so if you want to eat, you’re gonna have to get in the car and go somewhere else.

Breakfast needs more variety of breads (only white for toasts) and jams. (only strawberry). Coffee wasn't hot enough, more like lukewarm. No microwave to heat scrambled eggs for example.
Parking and wifi were good. We didn't use the swimming pool but if looked nice and tidy. Location: a little far from the city, but there were several places to eat very close to the hotel. Silent air conditioning.

The bed was super hard and would not be good for a longer stay. All the room doors are extremely loud and the halls are very narrow. Only 1 ice machine on bottom floor.
They had a small breakfast but it was good. And easy to use Netflix on the TV.
