Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Housekeeping- Empty wine box in nightstand Tub not cleaned..Long black hair found in the tub Grime around sink drain. Fortunately I travel with disinfectant wipes and cleaned the room. I did not complain to front desk or ask if the manager was available.

Hot water for a hot bath but there was zero hot water

Should be a maintenance person on staff, instead of just a front desk attendant!
There was no maintenance person on staff to deal with my leaking toilet. I had to clean up myself with mop and towels. That didn’t make sense to me at all!

The hot tub was barely warm. Staff initially was pleasant but then had housekeeping open our hotel door without knocking at 9:00 am.
The bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.

Minor repairs needed throughout, the whirlpool was like sitting in old bath water- lukewarm and slightly dirty. Management was unaware of this issue, which tells me they don’t monitor the property well. Also noticed the breakfast area was not well monitored.

The security guard latch on the door was broken. They didn't say the drink vending machine was out of order, had to find out from another guest. They must have been doing some renovations but there was a couple socks taped to a sprinkler head in the room I was in.
Location was nice. Only a few minutes to the convention center and close to restaurants. Staff was friendly.

We found a used pouf in the bathroom of our room that was left from previous guest that wasn't removed when room was cleaned.

I could not get the TV to work in the first room I was given and instead of coming up and looking at it as I asked I was moved to a different room which meant also moving all of my stuff. The TV didn’t work in the second room either. The Guide page worked but as soon as I chose a channel- no matter what channel- the picture was completely pixelated. I also thought it was odd that the Guide page said it was Fairfield Inn by Marriott.
Location was good. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

The A/C unit was very loud when it switched on. Woke me up (with earplugs in) once. The one elevator (no obvious stairs nearby as alternative) was a bit creaky and I wondered about maintenance. Probably completely fine, but made me wonder. The elevator interior had a couple of large rips/holes in the 'decorative' wall covering which made the hotel feel really run down. The pool looked a bit uninviting, but we hadn't planned on swimming.
The room was clean, had a reasonable amount of coffee and sugar/fake creamer/etc. There was a fridge and a microwave which we didn't use. The bed was *very* comfortable. There was a decent variety of options for breakfast, it was okay, but low-end with all disposable plates and cutlery, no visible 'service' to replace things or top up low stock. They did have a self- make waffle station and hot breakfast items.
