Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesOne of the three elevators was not working, so a bit delayed the elevators. The fact that the room with two double beds we reserved was not available and our daughter had to sleep on a twin rollover bed also makes it impossible to give a 10. Some work in Copley Square limited a better view, but not the hotel problem.
Room was very nice. Big and everything you need. It's an old building but still they keep it very current. Great at front desk (not so much at concierge-bell boys). I believe a lady by the name of Bethlehem was superb at check in. The room we requested was not available but she managed to upgrade and included a nice amenity for the trouble. Location is the best in Boston.

Absolutely beautiful property in the center of Boston. Perfect location to visit all the different neighborhoods and sites in the city.

United StatesNot much can be done about construction outside my window but it was a bit noisy. The room next to me had a small dog that barked all day while the owner was gone. I love dogs and felt bad for the little guy.... Not the hotels responsibility and it was nice and quiet at night.
The hotel is beautiful and has the old historic charm that was so nice and I do appreciate. The staff was wonderful and so kind and helpful. Location was great!
