Bathroom was rustic with a challenging retro fit due to age of the facility. Hvac and TV were difficult to operate.

Breakfast was lovely, check in was simple and Kim was a great hostess.

Be aware that there are lots of stairs, especially if your room is on one of the upper floors.

Nice quiet location with easy access to Carlisle by car. Wonderful breakfast; helpful staff. My friend especially liked the cats!

Lovely, older home with a great host and nice breakfast. Could use some TLC.

The bed required a two-step stool which made me uncomfortable knowing that I would likely need to get up in the middle of the night. The bathroom was not very nice. There was dirt or mold around the caulking and the shower was tiny. Also, it took a long time to get some warm water. In addition, nearly as soon as I walked into the room, my nose stuffed up, probably due to the carpeting. If I owned this property, I would spend some time and money touching up knicks and paint. Overall, the building was just not in great shape. Even some of the chairs in the dining room had big lumps in the center.

The host was lovely. I enjoyed talking with her and the breakfast was terrific. The property is also beautiful though we did not get a chance to walk around it. I appreciated the mini-split AC/Heater which let us control the temperature. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. If you like the charm of an older home and an antique feel, you will really like this place.

Lovely place to stay - immersed in green but close to downtown Carlisle and Dickinson College

The beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom was very tiny. It was a little pricey given that it’s in Carlisle.

The house is beautiful and maintained with care by the owners! It’s close to Carlisle and Dickinson College but immersed in a lovely green area. Our host was lovely and the breakfasts were creative and generous!

I would have liked brighter lighting for reading the books.

The old-fashioned decor, plush furniture and bedding, shelves of books about travel, animals, the Civil War, etc, a fire going in the fireplace so the room was warm, all were appealing. The peaceful surroundings and views were nice. Breakfast included extras like fruit and lemon cake.

    Self serve breakfast was unimpressive.

It was a self-check-in, I didn't meet the staff so I can't rate them but the check-in was smooth and easy. The property is beautiful set far back off the main route and peaceful and quiet.

It's off the road which makes it more private. The house is historical which made it more artistic. We enjoyed our breakfast there too. It's was only a 25-30 minute ride from the Gettysburg Battle reenactment that my family went to.

The room we stayed in needs a little attention and care. Both the side chairs were upholstery, but the upholstery was very stained. I wouldn't even sit on them. Also, the bath tub mat cracked and torn. It seems a very inexpensive replaceable item. I think a little tlc and the room would be top notch.

I loved the location and the wonderful breakfasts.Bathroom was very clean.
