Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Shower is too short I had to bend down and I am only 5 foot 6.
The breakfast is excellent! Blueberry syrup, potatoes, sausage graveyard delicious!

We questioned if the room was completely cleaned. Nothing in the bathroom seemed to have been moved. However, the room was not unclean to start. Just wasn't sure if the room was cleaned after our first day.
The room was comfortable. Our floor was quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast and the various selections and appreciated not having to go to another facility for breakfast.

The bathtub/shower faucet was not particularly user friendly, even with the note on the wall.
The hotel room was spacious and clean. The windows looked out on a beautiful countryside view. We noticed that it was very quiet. We did not hear voices in the hall, doors shutting, etc.like you often hear in hotels. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. We will definitely be back again.

Quiet, clean, comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Very nice seating areas. Nice to have an exercise room, small basketball court and ping pong. Easy to walk to area attractions and shops.

Would have liked to have a small cafe or a place to have coffee, sandwiches, light meals in the hotel.
Very warm and cozy. Beautiful Amish quilts adorn the walls.

nothing you could do... Though I feel the frustration of all ongoing construction
My friend Theresa and I had a wonderful fun time at your hotel and all the Shipshewana shopping and flea market. Our room was PERFECT.... we asked our housekeeper just for clean towels and she did.. told her that she did not have to change the sheets as we were staying two nights. We especially loved the pool and the hot tub and the ping pong AND the amazing buffet breakfast! you and your staff treated us like we were royalty -I feel we choose the correct week to visit as all the kids were back in school.. We will shout it from the rooftops about THE FARMSTEAD and we will definitely stay there again next year. Thank you Thank you a millions times!!!!!!! you're the best

Wifi was too slow. We were not able to watch videos on our laptop due to the slow internet.
Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel in the heart of downtown Shipshewana. The staff is always friendly and the beds are very comfortable. Although we didn't go swimming, the pool and hot tub were very clean and inviting.
