Very clean, great location, great stay!

Location & great room

The positive: - Close to everything in downtown San José. - Convenience with a receptionist available 24/7 and all the rooms have a telephone.

What made our experience terrible: - The restaurant attached to the hotel serves horrible expensive food. Their new manager has also been extremely aggressive with us when we complained that the takeaway salad was just four lettuce leaves, some bits of chips, and sauce all over us as soon as we opened it. - We had one of the many rooms facing the street where all the trams honk all night long (yes) when they pass through this junction. We could not sleep without earplugs. - There were hair from previous guests in the bathroom. It was not properly cleaned up. - The building definitely needs renovation / noise isolation. - Parking per night is very expensive.

Friendly check in staff. Room was clean.

We had to go down to get our own extra towels. No Bell person to help, limited Disabled parking. Expensive overnight parking. Only TV available was pay per view movies- $22 each.

The staff was friendly, helpful and kind.

We went to eat at the restaurant and were told it was short staffed so there would be a wait— only one table was occupied.

The location is great. Room is clean and quite.

The cost of our stay in this location made our visit a steal. The surrounding properties were priced significantly higher but there was nothing that made them worth that price that this hotel didn't have. Despite getting in pretty late, the check-in desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was SO spacious and comfortable. It wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in, but it checked all of the boxes that we needed for this particular trip.

There's zero way to block out the noise from the street. Almost all night we could hear the sirens, honking, barking, etc. I understand we are in the heart of the city but there has to be some kind of way to eliminate that noise or at least muffle it. Also, the front door is RIDICULOUSLY hard to open - wind or no wind - that thing is heavy as f%&k.

The hotel in general is fine, I liked it

They don’t store the suitcases, that’s something important because when you check out you must have a place to store the suitcases is the only thing I didn’t like

This location was perfect for us because it was walking distance to the event we attended at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. We would definitely stay there again in the future. Great hospitality, very tidy and clean place.
