The cabin was un a nice quiet location, and the cabin was beautiful.

The bathrooms did not have great ventilation, and after showering, it could feel quite muggy in the bathroom. A possible solution would be to leave the bathroom door open if possible and open up some windows, but none of us opted to do that, so I can't speak for the effectiveness. The only other thing would be the kitchen appliances were an odd assortment, so we had to get creative when preparing our dinners, and ended up buying a few dishes from the nearby market (which we then left there for the next guest). Neither of these things had any impact on our experience and were only minor issues I thought I would mention. I would still absolutely stay here again :)

My mom, my four sisters and myself stayed here for a surprise 70th birthday girls trip for our mom. While it is right off a somewhat busy road, inside the lodgings is shockingly quiet. In addition, there was the most beautiful field and little creek in the backyard where we saw an entire flock of geese, a rabbit, several deer, and a multitude of birds. The beds were comfortable with plenty of space for our group, and there were two full bathrooms with a good amount of hot water, so getting ready every day was fairly easy. The washer and dryer units were also a pleasant surprise, and it was easy to get around to all points of interest.

Location. Close enough to Hill City for ease of getting to shops and attractions yet far enough to get the feeling of camping. The cabin was well appointed, great lay out and comfortable for a multi-generational family vacation get away.

An unexpected cold chill came through and the cabin was very cold. However, the thick bedding helped keep our little one warm at night.

Great location with easy access to many local sites. We would definitely go back and would recommend Freedom Ridge to our family and friends...

I had assumed that shampoo and body wash would be provided. Had to run out to get some. There was no hair dryer as well.

The cottage was very clean and cozy. We really appreciated the pastry treats left there by the owners.

Quiet. Convenient location to local areas of interest. All the facility we needed including complete kitchen. New, modern construction with a cozy countryside feel.

Charming! The electric fireplace made our home away from home warm & cozy, and the sofa was very comfortable. Our host was friendly and attentive. We appreciated the extra blankets & pillows and a comfortable matress. Plenty of towels. A perfect location to get around the Hills and attractions. Our grandson loved having his very own loft bedroom, and was excited to come back to roast marshmallows over our private campfire. I only wish I had kept this a secret so we will be sure to have availability on our next trip to South Dakota!

The cookware was adequate, but there was only one medium and one small size fry pan for a cabin that accommodates 12 people. Also would be nice to have a griddle and measuring cups. I’ll just have to remember to bring my own. Otherwise it was great.

I liked that it was in the trees, and it was very clean and up-to-date. The campfire area was very nice with two picnic tables and several chairs.

I really liked the cabin. This was the best cabin I searched on google around the area for other cabins and this cabin by far was the best one.
