United StatesI didn’t like the complicated shower controls. It made showering hard to get water at a comfort level. The mini fridges were so small we could not get waters in them espresso machine never worked. The tv channels were limited so we ended up watching tv on laptop. It was a small items that added up. Toilet paper felt like sandpaper. Invest in some Charmin. Big things were great. Small things added up being disappointing
Property was beautiful. Decorating was so beautiful staff was nice.

United KingdomMy room was right beside the pool and music played until 11 o’clock each night which could be heard in the room. Information on the screen in the room could be more informative about pricing of pool food, drinks and spa costs. Due to the lack of pricing information I found it difficult to keep a track of this during my stay. Sun beds at pool filled up very quickly, I think the beds infront of the cabanas should be used at busy times if the cabanas are not booked with the understanding that if someone books one then they have to be made available.

United StatesFront desk was not very friendly. Every time I asked them for something I wasn’t able to do whatever for whatever reason. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member but they don’t honor any membership perks (free late checkout, room upgrades, etc) because I used booking.com. Tipped valet when they pulled around car but they sat there and let us put our our luggage in ourselves. No offer to help. Pool service was amazing tho and bartender was fine. Front desk and valet a little disappointing.
Very classy, rooms fresh and redone. The entire place smells amazing! Just very elegant and loved the pool vibe and beach club. Like the historical turn of century classic elegance!

United StatesHowever, there were a few things that took away from the overall experience: There’s a dress code, which feels a bit out of place for a beachside hotel. You’re not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to the pool or beach area, which feels overly strict. And most disappointing, there’s no food service available at the pool or beach —so if you’re hoping to enjoy a snack or meal while relaxing by the water, you’re out of luck. If you’re looking for a beautiful and historic place to stay with a more formal atmosphere, this might be a good fit. But if your goal is to fully relax at the pool or beach with food and drinks at hand, this may fall short of expectations.
On the positive side, the architecture and interior design are stunning, beautiful historic charm with elegant touches throughout the hotel. It definitely gives off that classic, upscale vibe.

United StatesRoom was very sparse; other than the fabulous view, we could have been in a Holiday Inn. The furniture was in no way like the downstairs part of the hotel; it was like we entered another hotel. We had an oceanfront room that was not cheap, but the furnishings were cheap. We waited 20 minutes for our car one day when we wanted to run an errand and just gave up and went back to our room. Restaurant and food were great. Gift shop was never open one time in 3 days. Very disappointing.
