Not easy to check In early.

Baker is a venerable city with many restored old buildings. The Grand Geiser is a historic hotel with a lot of history.

The sheets were very rough - assuming they get bleached. The toilet paper was way too rough and thin. Maybe because the plumbing is older they need this type of tp?

I did like the uniqueness of this historic hotel. Especially the arboretum with its stained glass ceiling. Just beautiful!

With no handhold or rubber bath mat, we felt taking a shower in the bathtub was a bit dangerous for older folks.

Location was great; right in the center of town. The hotel played a vital role in the history of Baker City.

I wish they had a small microwave to warm our pastries and coffee.

The location was perfect. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom as well. The property is well maintained and clean. The dining room is convenient and our server Mark was great.

Where you could and couldn't park was a little confusing. No designated parking area that we could find.

It is an iconic hotel. Very ornate and gives you an idea how fancy it must have been in its heyday.

Not enough staff for a valet since not sepárate from front deal staff. But understandable since it's a small hotel and it was Memorial Day Weekend.

Beautiful and elegant. Room service was primor and dining was on first floor and good food.

We just needed a place to sleep so we were there for a very short time. However, we were put in an ADA room facing a brightly light parking lot. Didn't love that.

Like many old facilities the bathroom was cold and the bath/shower had some mold growing in the wall seam. Also we had made reservations for breakfast but when we went down in the morning for our 7:15 reservation we were told breakfast had been canceled. Fortunately there was a baloney though we had to walk around the block until it opened.

It’s a lovely historical facility. Our dinner was very good with excellent service.

The beds were a little soft for the oldest of us, enjoyable when we laid down, but we felt the creaks in the morning. Fine for a couple of nights. Also, the tabletop was somehow wobbly, not enough that anything was spilling, but enough that it was noticeable and annoying.

The staff was polite, informed, accommodating, and helpful. The room was spacious enough for two queen beds, a full table for four with chairs (which we used for a couple of meals and playing games), and a twin sized rollaway bed, and we did not feel cramped at all. We took the history of the hotel tour as a time filler because one of the four of us was interested; it was engaging enough that the youngest stayed around for the whole 45 minutes instead of bowing out and going back to the room. The location was right in the middle of the historic part of town, we walked to parks and restaurants.

I alerted the front desk staff to a potential safety risk with the treadmill in the fitness center as it was wobbling while I used it. The rest of the room could use a refresh as well. Limited equipment and small space which makes sense given the building

Beautifully restored historic building in downtown Baker City with lots of charm in the guest rooms as well. We also enjoyed a lovely dessert and cocktail in the dining room after dinner elsewhere and had the sweetest server.

The availability of parking is not good, and paying $12 a day for Valet because there was no available parking was a little over the top. The phone in my room did not work. There was no available breakfast restaurants for early mornings and also none in the immediate areas surrounding the hotel.

We loved the overall ambiance of the place. The staff were awesome (especially Lief, Mary, and Jasen). The food in the main dining area was very good, and we loved the Violinist. The tour was informative and interesting!

Beautiful historic hotel! Love the grand design of this hotel. Rooms are beautiful, large, unique, high ceilings and very comfortable. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant also. I always enjoy staying in memorable places and enjoyed this hotel as it was a rather a surprise to find it in little Baker City. Well worth stopping for a night, or two here. Also really appreciate that this hotel welcomes pets/ small dogs. My pup enjoyed it and all the attention he got!
