    The mattress.

The location and grounds were great and the history of this Victorian home was interesting. The bed was ok for comfort. The breakfast had a number of options and also GF, which is so helpful! We loved our stay.

The only thing that would be negative is that the room that we stayed in got really stuffy. There were two windows in the room that could have created a cross breeze, but one of them wouldn't stay open.

Gilbert Inn was quaint and clean with great interaction with the staff.

The 130 year old building did have squeaky floors but we got used to it.

Beautiful, restored mansion with all its charm. Great hot breakfast and cordial staff. one block from town and 2 blocks to the sandy beach.

We would have really enjoyed a special breakfast. Something special to the area would have been very appreciated.

We enjoyed walking to most places and biking to those that were a little farther away. The history of the house and the community made it a special choice for us. We would be so happy to stay there again.

The room needs detail work attended to. Caulking in the bathroom. Baseboards and shower. But, that’s not something that bothers me. A piece of wallpaper high up at the ceiling is loose. Again, not a detractor from the comfort, jus something I noticed.

I slept like a baby!! The bed was very comfortable. They provide really nice bathrobes! A bonus. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion was an added bonus. The room was sweet. As a former builder it was cool to see how a private home made upgrades to become a commercial hotel and yet keep the character of the building well intact. Breakfast was fine. It got me going! Will stay again should I pause in Seaside.

Main part of the inn (lobby, breakfast room, etc.) was a little cooler in temperature than expected so wear appropriate attire to breakfast during the winter months. The staff missed that the coffee machine was out of water one day which was a bummer, but there is a little coffee shop less than a block away.

The location was great for downtown and beach access. The room was clean and perfect for a couple or small family as it also had a living area with a small kitchenette.Adequate supplies (towels, coffee, dishes, utensils, etc) and housekeeping was great. Breakfast was simple with the basics which was also nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The only complaints I have are the fact that the DVD player in our room (the Renee' Room) didn't work, and the bed frame extends out much farther than the mattress and is covered with a bed spread, so it isn't easy to see. I hit my knee so hard that it split the skin.

Breakfast was good. The room was very nice. The facility was very quaint. They have a library of DVDs free for their guests to take to their room and watch. Location was ideal if you want to spend some time on Broadway exploring the shops and entertainment.

Tight quarters and no where to sit besides the bed. No room for a chair. We were on 2nd floor and the stairs are very narrow, I would have chosen downstairs room if I would have known.

Location was good we could walk to most shops and restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful lots of choices.
