Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Dirty soap left in the shower, not very sound proof, smell of marijuana when walked into building, could have come from 2 people sitting on the couch, needs a paper guide for TV channels. Eating breakfast at the Motel next door was a good idea, it was very good & they were super friendly.

No one at the front desk when I checked in . Front door of property was locked with a sign saying to go across the parking lot to check in at the neighbouring property. Super sketchy . Also the sign was not lit enough to see it in the dark. I drove around it twice before figuring out where it was. I was told the sign company claims the sign is lit/fixed. The sign company ARE LIARS!!!!

The damned heater sounded like a freight train in the room (#114). Even with earplugs in, it kept us both up. We would have turned it off, but it was -25 degrees and cold air blew in around the heater. Jettison that thing and you'd have a stellar review. I am, however, grateful to have had a warm place to stay! Everything else there was great.
Cute place, central to town and cozy decor. The beds were comfortable, although blankets would have been nice with the -27 degree temps.

There’s nothing I didn’t like, I just needed some basic accommodations on my journey.
Not spectacular, but I was glad to have a bit of something I didn’t have to go elsewhere for before continuing with my journey.

Sound proof is not good, you can hear everything. During night still pretty loud. Not so good for a light sleeper.

I wish all hotel/motels would completely rid their establishments of carpeting.
I stayed for 5 nights and was very happy that staff came in everyday to empty garbage and provided me with clean towels. They even made my bed! I was grateful the air conditioning worked well. Very friendly staff. I have trouble with steps and especially hauling heavy suitcases up steps. There weren't many steps but I couldn't have managed them. Staff changed my room to a room where I could use the ramp.

Although we could tell some upgrades were made (painting, bathroom floors, bedding) the carpet and overall building needs some TLC.
Staff was amazing! Such nice people and hard working. They went out of their way to help us when we had questions or needed something. Also appreciated the many individually wrapped breakfast options.

It would have been great to have an on-site laundry facility, but there were laundromats available for use.
The hotel was perfect for our trip. It wasn't the fanciest or most modern room we've ever stayed in, but it met our expectations and was great for our budget. The pool and breakfast was located in the adjacent hotel and there was a great diner next door that we ate at. Would recommend for families.
