Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe demographics. Lol I felt like I was in Starbucks in Beverly Hills. A little more diversity would be cool. Hardly a deal breaker though. Everyone was friendly. I think.
I enjoyed the friendly and prompt customer service. From decorating the tent for my husbands birthday, starting the wood burning stove so we would be warm up on arrival to the friendly greeting and accomodations made upon request.

LithuaniaWe stayed at the end of April. The nights are still quite cold. There is a stove in the tent, but if you want it to be warm all night, you need someone to keep the fire burning. Not very convenient. There could be more lighting lamps in the tent. The sink in the tent bathroom is inconvenient, in order for the water to run you have to hold down the faucet handle, so only one hand is free. If you want to wash your hands, you have to have someone help you and hold down the faucet handle.
The tent itself is really great. There were four of us staying. Both the bed and the sofa in the tent are comfortable. The place is near the Grand Canyon, we drove about 40 minutes by car to the southern entrance.

AustraliaWe could not fault Undercanvas Grand Canyon. The staff, facilities, food and activities lists were all incredible, wish we had a few extra nights there!

KenyaUnder Canvas provides an outstanding glamping experience. However, paying over $500 for what is fundamentally a nice tent has to be viewed as a lifestyle choice rather than an objective pursuit of value--with advanced planning, you could stay in a nice room at the Tovar on the Rim for about the same cost. Also note for families: The kids' tent is a great idea and comes with cozy zero-degree sleeping bags; however, for perfectly reasonable safety reasons, there is no wood stove, so you may find your kids joining you in the main tent at about 3 am.
This is definitely glamping. The tents are large and comfortable. There are no camping compromises on the in-tent plumbing--reliable instant hot water heater (pull chain for a Navy-type shower) and a very nice regular toilet. We were there on a pretty cold night (close to freezing), but once we got the wood stove fired up (they will do this for you if you prefer) and added the extra blankets and helpfully provided hot water bottle, we were quite toasty (although you will need to wake up at some point to feed the fire or face the prospect of waking up in a very cold tent). The staff are ridiculously cheerful and helpful. Food is excellent, including many vegetarian/vegan options.

United States of AmericaThe only thing that could have been better was the charger packs for power ran out of juice pretty quickly and when I went to get another two there were none available that were charged for like 4-6 hours. But really that’s my one and only complaint.
What a cleverly created place. It’s super laid back and casual as it should be for a campground, yet with added basic luxuries from start to finish. Great for kids, beautiful setting, well stocked for being in a fairly remote location, really great food and drinks. Thank you for our 2 night stay! We will come back for sure.

United States of AmericaIt was a pretty cold night so we had to keep the wood fire stove burning all night, which proved to be a challenge. The property and staff did all they could to ensure we were comfortable but I would not go to any of their destinations if it's below 50 degrees at night.
Staff was very attentive, and food was high quality. Loved all the games and s'mores that were available at the fire pits. The highlight was the Stargazing outing with "crocky" on Wed. night. He was soooo knowledgeable, and genuinely loves what he does.

United States of AmericaThis was my first Under Canvas experience, and certainly not my last. From the moment We arrived the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The facilities are very luxurious and upscale, all while maintaining an outdoor camping experience. They had many on site activities such as live music, corn hole, yoga classes, and s’mores. Kids tint does not have a heater so son was freezing.
Family like how close this location was to the entrance of the Grand Canyon; it was only about a 25 minute drive to the entrance.

GermanyIt was something special between Airbnbs and hotels. The staff was very nice. They showed us everything, gave us free water (coffee and tea is free 24/7 in the lobby tent as well) and some explanations on the impressive and wonderful looking sky full of stars. The food (breakfast and dinner) is quite expensive and for some meals also not very much (e.g. Yuca fries) but extraordinary and very good-tasting. We do recommend the Classic breakfast sandwich and the aragula salad. In the evening there was a live-musician playing country music in the lobby tent and outside there were multiple campfires to toast s'mores for free and connect to other guests from all over the world.

United States of AmericaValle is not much of a town and has very few services, which is good to know ahead of time since the camp is about 30 minutes from the town of Tusayan, and a little farther from the south entrance to the Grand Canyon.
We had a great time “camping” with the comforts of an en-suite bathroom and hot shower. The tent’s King-size bed was very comfortable and the wood stove made it quite cozy in the tent on chilly mornings. We also enjoyed several dinners and s’mores around the campfire at the main tent area.
